Run You Clever Girl, And Remember

It's official, Jenna Coleman will be leaving the tardis sometime during series nine of "Doctor Who," making her the longest lasting companion of New Who. Now the questions begin, when, how and who will become the next companion to the 12th Doctor, played by Peter Capaldi?

"Doctor Who" is a series on BBC that follows the life of the Doctor, a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey, on his adventures through space and time. Since its beginning, the Doctor has always traveled with a companion. Doctor Who celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013.

Coleman first appeared on "Doctor Who" as Oswin Oswald, or Soufflé Girl, in "Asylum of the Daleks." She later came back and played another version of her character in "The Snowman," and officially came on as a permanent companion as Clara Oswald during "The Bells of St. John back" in 2013 starring alongside the 11th Doctor, played by Matt Smith.

Rumors first surfaced last year of Coleman’s departure during the eighth series, and her fate remained unknown until the end of the Christmas special when it was finally revealed that her character would stay on. However, it has been officially confirmed that she will be departing sometime before the Christmas special of this year. It has also been confirmed that she has landed the lead in a new ITV eight-part drama titled "Victoria," surrounding the early years of Queen Victoria.

Coleman has given us a magnificent character and companion as Clara Oswald and has surprised and enamored many as the Impossible Girl. I personally am sad to see her leave, although she was never my favorite companion, she was an amazing one. Coleman has stated that she is not opposed to returning to "Doctor Who" as a guest if a good storyline in need of her character were to come up. Something that has happened in the past with Billie Piper, the first companion of New Who, who somewhat reprised her role as Rose Tyler/Bad Wolf and David Tennant as the 10th Doctor, my favorite version of the Doctor, in the 50th anniversary special, "The Day of the Doctor."

"Doctor Who" returned with its latest series on Sept. 19, with a bang. The first episode ups the creepy factor and promises an amazing series for all the fans. We find the Doctor basically on the run from what he thinks will be his death after failing to find Gallifrey, his home planet, and Clara back at home as a school teacher, not knowing what the Doctor is up to. Many familiar faces returned such as Missy (the Masters latest regeneration), the Shadow Proclamation, Kate Stewart, the Oods, a race which has not been seen in awhile and finally, Davros, the creator of the Doctor’s greatest enemies, the Daleks, and the reason for the Doctor's attempted genocide against both the Time Lords on Gallifrey, and the Daleks in order to protect the universe.

In this season we have Clara teaming up with Missy to try to save the Doctor, after Missy kills a couple of people (no biggie), and the Doctor facing an enemy which he thought he was through with. Now we just wait and see what will happen to Clara. Hopefully her last episode (which has already been filmed) will do justice to her character. "Doctor Who" is on BBC America every Saturday, so make sure to tune in!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
