One of the best weeks of every college student’s life has some crucial rules that should be followed during the adventure. Whether you’re going to the biggest parties in Cancun or relaxing on the beaches of South Carolina, spring break means spring break. You’re going to get crazy no matter what. After months of hard work you deserve every ounce of fun and play during this sacred college ritual. Here are some unofficial rules that you can take into consideration as you plan to get a little wild during the break:

1. Don’t forget the sunscreen.

Sunscreen is that white lotion your mother used to smother all over your face making you look like a ghost child on the beach. Twenty years later, this is still something you’ll need. Protecting your skin from the sun is extremely important. It’s something you need to avoid coming back to classes looking like a fresh lobster with a killer sunburn. Maybe this time, you’ll have an excuse for a hot guy to rub lotion over your body, if you know what I mean.

2. Stay hydrated.

Every once in a while it's good to surprise your liver with a nice shot of water. After all of the partying, day drinking and time in the sun, your body will need some time to replenish. No juice, no Gatorade and no soda will be enough to help you recover from everything your body did during this long but short week. Water is great to help wash out all of the toxins from your body. It also keeps you looking glowy and feeling good.

3. Pack light but pack right.

Relax, you have a week off. There's no need to dress up to impress someone in your class and you shouldn't be wearing sweatpants (except for traveling purposes). Instead, pack the hottest swimsuits you can find, the lightest pieces of clothing and the trendiest night time outfits. You'll be wearing swimsuits 24/7 and for that reason, you won't have to worry much about actual articles of clothing.

4. Don't blackout.

It's easy to get caught up in all the drinking games at every hour of the day. Yes, some of us are purposefully taking this week off to not remember. But at some point, it's worth not drinking to fully experience our surroundings and have some memories to take home with us.

5. Live life to the fullest.

Skydive off the cliffs of the Maldives? Party on the sandy beaches of Punta Cana? Yes, yes, yes! Any trip with your best friends or any trip on your own, it's better than hiding behind one of the cubicles in your college library. If you're staying home treat yourself, do something to relax your mind.

Take a walk in your neighbor, read a book for pleasure, stay in bed all day and watch Netflix. Any little activity that diverts your attention from college counts as a successful spring break. Take the time, reflect and enjoy every ounce of freedom you have during this short break.

Just like artist M.I.A once sang, "Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well." Stay safe, have fun, follow the unofficial rules. Happy spring break!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
