Congratulations, you’ve discovered the amazing human that is my best friend. So you want to date her, huh? Well, I — the best friend — have some very important requirements in order for you to spend your time with her. Understand that I will not like you right away... until I deem whether or not you are good enough for the gift to this earth that my best friend is.

1. Must be able to binge hours upon hours of Law and Order SVU

Seriously. This girl can binge TV like nobody else, but "Law and Order" is always a favorite. Be ready to spend a weekend in watching TV, cuddling and eating junk food (Nerds and Lucky Charms are a must). It’s seriously the best.

2. Have goals that are larger than finding the remote

She is driven for success, once she’s got her eye on something, she gets it. You should be right at her side ready to go where ever she’s going. But you should have goals of your own and be working equally as hard to achieve them. Support each other in being successes.

3. Must love dogs, like really love dogs. All dogs

Be prepared to stop and pet every dog you can. There is no dog that is not fair game for petting or will get her attention. So you need to love dogs, too, even better if you already own a dog. But there is no dog that she will not deem worthy of love.

4. Understand that we tell each other literally everything

As best friends, there is nothing I don’t know about her and vice versa. I know all about your relationship and whatever else she's up to. I will always be on her team, and be her number one fan. So, if you think you can be less than amazing to her, I’ll know.

5. Be excellent at Disney Karaoke

This is simple, know your Disney songs and be ready to sing them at the top of your lungs at anytime; in the car, cooking dinner and anywhere else.

6. Treat her like the queen she is

You’ve welcomed one of the best people in the world into your life. She deserves the world and to be treated like a queen. Don’t treat her any less, she’s happy with simple gifts, a box of nerds or some flowers. Just remember to value her every single day.

7. Be willing to watch romantic comedies

Yup, you read that right. Get ready to watch some rom-coms, and actually they aren’t that horrible. She enjoys them, you’ll enjoy watching them with her and you’ll get a few laughs.

8. Make her laugh, a lot

Her laugh is awesome and super contagious. Make her laugh, it doesn't take a lot but its 100% worth it. Make her laugh at least once a day.

But most importantly:

9. Accept that you can’t change her

Read that, and read it again. She is exactly how she is, and she’s not going to change for you. What you see is what you get with her, and to be totally honest, as someone who spends a lot of time with her; what you get is pretty dang incredible. Enjoy everything about her, the goofy quirks, her little habits and all the other parts of her.

10. Be there for her when I can’t

I’m her number one fan, but sometimes she needs more support and I’m not always around. So just be there for her, be there to sit by her side or let her talk about what's on her mind. Simply put - just be there for her.

If you can meet these 10 rules, there is a really good chance that you are indeed good enough to date my best friend. Now to marry her, there’s a lot more hurdles there, if you make it that far.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
