This year has been one heck of a ride, full of friendships and endless memories we have made that we will never forget. I want to tip a hat off to my roommate though, who has been here through it all. Living with someone really does create a different type of relationship and sometimes I wonder how we do it. So here is to my roommate — really, I don't know how you did it.

1. Thanks for ordering Jimmy John's with me every time I crave it.

2. Thank you for telling me to not order Jimmy John's because my mom will get mad.

3. Thank you for telling me, "Maybe you should go to class today."

4. Thank you for taking a few days off of school with me.

5. Thank you for telling me which outfits are show stoppers.

6. Thank you for telling me which outfits make me look like a goon.

7. Thank you for cleaning up Summer's Eve with me when I spill it all over my dresser.

8. Thank you for bringing in the big trashcan from down the hall when I am cleaning my side of the room.

9. Thank you for making me a little more "ghetto."

10. Thank you for staying up late with me when I need someone to talk to.

11. Thank you for reminding me which boys are bad news and telling me I should stay away from them.

12. Thank you for telling me when my self tanner is splotchy on the back of my legs.

13. Thank you for not caring when you can't see the floor in our room because my clothes are everywhere.

14. Thank you for helping me do eight loads of laundry and put our room back into somewhat of a normal state.

15. Thank you for listening to me complain about everything.

16. Thank you for having such a great boyfriend and introducing me to a new friend.

17, Thank you for helping me improve my music game.

18. Thank you for making fun of people with me when they need to be made fun of.

19. Thank you for listening to my parody.

20. Thank you for letting me use your deodorant.

21. Thank you for not complaining when I shower at four in the morning.

22. Thank you for giving me a tissue when we are out of toilet paper.

23. Thank you for getting me Sour Patch Kids.

24. Thank you for having endless dance parties with me in our room.

25. Thank you for doing my eyebrows whenever they get a little out of control.

26. Thank you for wanting to go to the gym and shoot with me.

27. Thank you for bringing out my calmer side.

28. Thank you for sharing your Tide pods with me.

29. Thank you for listening to me cry oh-too-many times this year.

30. Thank you for telling me when you can see my contour line.

31. Thank you for taking naps and liking to sleep as much as I do.

32. Thank you for going to the cafeteria with me whenever I am hungry.

33. Thank you for not locking the door, ever, because you know I never have my key.

34. Thank you for giving me your honest opinion and helping me make better decisions.

35. Thank you for putting up with my constant talking.

36. Thank you for accepting all of my friends.

37. Thank you for giving me a home away from home.

38. Thank you for wanting the best in me.

39. Thank you for being you.

40. Thank you for rooming with me again next year. (It's going to be even better than this year.)

I am going to miss you so much this summer!

xoxo,

Emily

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
