A Road Of Legacies
SAU Communications Center

The Southern Arkansas University Alumni Center, formerly known as the President’s House and Welcome Center, was built in 1958 and is a national historic landmark rich in tradition. The SAU Alumni Center lawn is home to “Mulegating” and provides a great place for SAU students, alumni and friends to enjoy food, pep rallies and make unforgettable memories before each home football game.

Legacy Lane, a brick walkway, begins at the Alumni Center and ends at the Alumni Bridge. It has become a tradition to walk the lane to the football field, allowing enough time to stop and read the legacy inscribed on the bricks. The SAU Alumni Association wants you to be part of Legacy Lane and help ensure its legendary future.

The brick road, known as Legacy Lane, located behind what will be the new Alumni Center, will be extraordinary! The Legacy Lane holds the history of our Alumni and what this university has stood for over the years. As more Alumni purchase bricks and continue the history, it gives a sense of solidarity to our current students. It symbolizes the solid foundation that this university was built upon. With these two great forces coming together, the Alumni Center and Legacy Lane, we strongly encourage ALL alumni to have a place where they can shine!

Your donation goes a long way. What have the Legacy Lane funds been used for in the past? The SAU Alumni Bridge, the Celebration of Lights Centennial Tree, the Donald W. Reynolds Center and the money is now helping to fund the state of the art Alumni Center, Lusby Gathering Pavilion, the Ann Furr Harrell Courtyard and the Franks Bowman Mule Grill!

The standard brick is $125 and you can even set up a payment plan with us! Get yours today here! Just follow the instructions and your legacy will be inscribed into our wonderful Lane forever!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
