The cartoon series on Adult Swim that has taken the internet by storm in the past few months, Rick and Morty is chock full of foul language, pop culture references, and horrible humor that you can't help but laugh at. As a fan of the show, I couldn't help but notice during my many watch throughs, that this show had some ingenious dialogue that I strongly believe deserves to become common in our every day lives. So, here are 8 quotes from Rick and Morty that deserve to be used all the time.
1. "...You're both pieces of shit! Yeah. I can prove it mathematically."
(Season 2, Episode 1.) The perfect line for when your friends are fighting over you and you just want them to stop. Or ya know, just a nice way to start a conversation. Good luck actually proving it mathematically though.
2. "In bird culture, this is considered a 'dick move'."
(Season 2, Episode 5.) This line can be used for just about all things dickish. Though, trying to continue to scream at someone in the car after shouting this might be difficult. It might come in handy when your friends try to do dumb things though, definitely keep this handy.
3. "Nobody exists on purpose. Nobody belongs anywhere. We're all going to die. Come watch TV."
(Season 1, Episode 8) A re-imagining of the old "Just one more episode" mind set. Just... A little more pessimistic.
4. "Get Shwifty!"
(Season 2, Episode 5)The new "Let's party" phrase we should all start using. It even has a kick butt song to accompany it! It's pretty much awesome.
5. "What? So everyone is supposed to sleep every single night now? Y-you realize that nighttime makes up half of all time?"
(Season 1, Episode 1). Whether trying to convince your friend to come out with you instead of going to bed on a school night, or defending your late night binging of Rick and Morty to your parents. This line knows no bounds. It works for everything.
6. "Great. Now I have to take over a whole planet because of your stupid boobs."
(Season 1, Episode 7). Realistically, this one might be a little harder to work into everyday conversation, but it is still too great a line not to try and use anyways. Put your best friend in their place with this one, or completely sabotage your team mates in video games by running head first into danger and then pull this baby out to lessen the blow of unavoidable defeat.
7. "Wubba lubba dub dub"
(Season 1, Episode 11). In Birdperson's language, it means "I am in great pain, please help me." But Rick seems to only use it during exciting times, so we are gonna hop on the exclamation train and challenge you to use it at least three times during every party until everyone is saying it. Whichever meaning you prefer to give it, that's your own business.
8. "What up my glip glops?"
(Season 1, Episode 11) Unless you watch the show, you have no idea that the phrase "glip glop" is the equivalent of the n-word and the c-word mashed together and seasoned with every bad word for Jewish people... But that is only for the Traflorkians, so us humans should feel no shame in using the word as a playful greeting for our good friends.
