Let’s give a shout-out to the pigs, because without them, none of this would be possible. The third annual Richmond Bacon festival was held Sunday June 14th, and I got a taste of what Richmond was cooking up.
The festival, held in Shockoe Bottom at the 17th Street Farmer’s Market, was home to over 40 Richmond vendors and of course, the city folk's favorite food trucks. Bacon lovers were able to enjoy a plethora of foods, all topped, wrapped, or infused with bacon. All of the plates at the bacon festival were only $4.
The festival also gave attendees the opportunity to check out different Richmond vendors selling clothing and crafts. People were able to enjoy many kinds of wines and beers while listening to live performances by "The Big Payback" and "Dance Candy".
