This blog post is about something I love... Reusable food containers, I know that is super weird, but honestly, I love stuff like this. Over the last year and a half I have been researching and collecting my favorite reusable products for this matter.

There are amazing pros in why you would switch over to all reusable items when it comes to your pack lunch. I mean, less garbage, less buying, less spending, and you can get some pretty cool looking products!

The only downside that I see about these products, are that you will have to wash them (aka dishes/dishwasher) and that some of them may be breakable, so you won't want to take them white water rafting or anything- I may or may not have anyways... ;)

So I am going to start by sharing my favorite reusable food items that I use on an everyday regular basis, there are many other great brands, but I hope the ones I chose inspire you to look into it more yourself!

LunchBots

LunchBot containers aren't just supper practical, but they are also super functional. I love packing my snacks or lunch it here, they are super easy to eat out of, as well as clean. Check out all there different kinds at their website! www.lunchbots.com

Bento Boxes

Bento Boxes can be found in a variety of places. They also come in many different sizes! I believe this one is from World Market. These hands down, are one of my favorite reusable lunch containers!

Glass Containers

These are a big fad to have right now, but let me tell you, I did not fall in love with them because everyone has them, I feel in love with them because not only are they a healthier option to store food in, they also keep food fresher!

Reusable Produce Bags

If you read my last post, you saw these guys mentioned there too. I love them, It has actually been a blast shopping plastic free and bringing these along. Another plus is that they keep food more fresh as well! If they get dirty, just throw them in the wash! A one time buy and zero waste!

Snack Pouches

Ditch the plastic bags, and grab yourself some reusable ones! If you are the crafty type, feel free to make your own. Most health food stores sell these. They have a lining in the inside making it perfectly functional to hold snacks! Once they are dirty, throw them into the wash. Who wants to carry their sandwich in a boring Ziplock bag when you can carry it in one of these bad boys?

Bees wrap

I can't even tell you how much I LOVE this product. Bees wrap is a plastic wrap alternative- yes, there is such a thing. Initially the price is a little high, but these last you up to a year, whereas plastic wrap is a one time deal. I love wrapping my apples in them, or sealing off a glass container. For care, hand wash them with cold water. The great thing is that when they are all worn out, you can plop them right into your compost bin! Talk about zero waste! Check out all the sizes and more about the company here.

Well, that was fun! I hope this inspired you to look at how you store your food a little differently. Reusable food containers for the win!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
