It's been a whole summer and it's finally time to get back to college. Your first year was full of ups and downs adjusting to the whole college experience. You had to figure out how to balance your time, make brand new friends and do your own laundry (or not). You had to start with a clean slate and learn just exactly how college works. But now, after a year of adjusting and figuring it out, you're ready for another go. Your summer has been fun, but it's finally time to go back to school and you're (hopefully) excited, which you're probably surprised about. Don't be. College is great and now as a second-year student, you don't have to start all the way at the bottom of the food chain. You've got this.

So, without further ado, here's your return to college as told by the Fox sitcom "New Girl."

First off, when you move in, especially if you're still on campus, you may be a bit surprised about who you're neighboring. Hopefully, it's someone great or someone you didn't get to know your first year, but there is a possibility it's that guy you had a super awkward run-in with first year.

(Don't fret. Maybe you can put those stupid first-year mistakes behind you.)

And chances are, you'll probably get sick of the food quicker than last year. Two years of repetition aren't that great when it comes to food.

But you've grown a lot and you're probably going to be more confident in your decisions. No apologies, my friends.

You're going to stop trying to be the coolest, most perfect version of yourself and just embrace who you really are. These people have seen you for a year now. It's time you get comfortable and buckle down for the next three years.

(Ahem, stop caring what people think of you.)

You're finally back and away from your parents again, but just because you've done this before, it doesn't mean you can do whatever you want and get away with it (but that's probably what you're going to do; just don't go too crazy).

If you didn't like something about your first year at college, this is your chance to change it. If you didn't like your friends, find a new crew; if you hated your procrastination, find a way to motivate yourself. It'll be alright if you change for the improvement of yourself.

Your second year of college is all about second chances. You're still learning, but you've got the most basic ropes tied down. It's time to do this college thing for you and your benefit, and be yourself. Keep trying new things. You can still do that, but also try to mature a little bit and learn more about yourself. Don't let the sophomore slump take a hold of you; keep caring about your schoolwork, because, believe it or not, you are still learning.

But most of all, have fun!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
