Rumors of the iPhone 7 have been circling for what it seems like forever and now it's finally here. Thousands of people around the world are already standing in ridiculously long lines to get Apple's latest device. But before you go running to your nearest Apple store, you may want to look more into what changes the iPhone 7 might bring into your daily life.
As many people know, along with the release of the iPhone 7, Apple released their new product "Airpods", which are wireless earphones that go along with the iPhone 7. They released these because the iPhone 7 does not have a headphone jack, in an attempt to show an advancement in their new device. However, should we really consider this an "advancement" in technology? Let's look a little deeper by examining an example.
You're at a party with your friends and your showing off your brand spankin' new iPhone 7 that your really excited about. Your friends swoon over your phone, you guys laugh about something funny your friend did the other day, and you have a couple drinks. Later, one of your friends asks you to play music because their phone is about to die. They hand you the aux cord and you go to plug it in, but WHOOPS you forgot you no longer have a headphone jack. So, you whip out this handy dandy little thing so you can play music to keep the party going.
Ok, so not only is this an annoying tactic by Apple to make even more money than they are already making (this little adapter costs $9.00!), but it's super tiny which means it's super easy to lose. And once you lose it, Apple keeps making money after you buy another one, and another one, and another one, until you're totally broke and they're throwing a celebration party with all your money.
So back to the story. You're playing music through your little adapter and everyone's having a great time. But right when you thought your troubles were over, a 10% battery notification pops up on your phone. How do you continue to play music when your charger outlet is already preoccupied playing music? Well, you guessed it. You need ANOTHER adapter for that too.

Even worse, not only is this situation going to happen at parties, but whenever you want to listen to music out of your phone without Airpods, you'll need to keep at least of the adapters with you (that is if there is no Bluetooth option). So before you start thinking that the iPhone 7 is the best phone yet, I suggest you think about how often you misplace small objects, how your image might look, and how much money you're willing to spend. Otherwise, Apple wins.
