When it comes to foods that are found on Long Island, the majority will be very likely to look at chain restaurants. However, there are some really great restaurants that can give you the feeling of wanting to go back for more. 1. Don Ricardo's

94 East Main Street, Babylon.

Delicious nachos, free chips with an order and sangria when you are there.

2. Kotobuki

86 Deer Park Avenue, Babylon.

When you are in Babylon, you are near the water (the source for the freshest fish in the sushi). If you want to experience Kotobuki, go there during the week as it is extremely busy during the weekend.

3. Mulberry Street

30-32 East Main Street, Babylon.

A go-to place when you are craving Italian, but you do not want to cook. This is also one place to find pizza.

4. Stuff-A-Bagel

425 Montauk Highway, West Islip.

Not only is New York known for their pizzas, but they are also known for their freshly made bagels. This little bagel shop allows you to have bagels prepared in any way you want it when you are on the go.

5. Long River

351 Union Boulevard, West Islip.

Because who cannot not like Chinese food?

6. Cafe Europa

504 Union Boulevard, West Islip.

Another pizza place in Suffolk, but you can sit down somewhere and enjoy specialty made pizzas with whoever you are with.

7. Francesco's

29 John Street, Babylon.

Again, another place where there is Italian food and pizza.

Fun fact: every time you order from Francesco's cut the part of the box where it says "Cut 10 of these, get a free pie" to get a free pizza pie when you have 10 of the box cut outs.

8. Bubba's Burrito Bar

513 Main Street, Islip.

Honestly, the best burritos on Long Island.

These burritos are made to order, and they are gigantic (ideal to share with someone else or split it in half for lunch and dinner) because the order is so large.

Tip: call in to order your food, it takes 10 to 15 minutes to cook as it is freshly made to order.

9. Mushroom Chinese & Japanese Restaurant

779 Montauk Highway, West Babylon.

Ideal for hibachi if you don't feel like driving too far for hibachi. Also has a variety of sushi if you are in the mood.

10. Captain Bill's Restaurant & Catering

122 Ocean Avenue, Bay Shore.

Another location set near the water. You can either drive or take the boat since Captain Bill's has a dock close by the restaurant. Captain Bill's is a great place to go to during the summer, and you can hold parties during the colder months.
