Summer is my most preferred season. It is the season in which people are the happiest because each day is sunny and bright. Waking up with the birds chirping and singing their playful songs while the sun beams down on the house has to be one of my favorite things.

1.The beach is my happy place

The salty hot air brushing against your skin, the grainy sand rubbing against your toes, the sun beaming down upon your shoulders is what makes summer so magical. For me, the beach will always be my happy place because it is so relaxing. While at the beach everyone is always so cheerful while splashing in the chilled water and basking in the sun! It is the greatest feeling to see everyone happy and enjoying themselves with friends and family.

2. The weather is perfect

How can anyone be sad when the bright sun is always warming your soul? The suns warmth is what keeps us all chipper and bright. Honestly, I feel as if the sun is what warms people’s hearts, hence why people in the winter are a tad bitter. Also, more people are prone to go outside, walk, smell the fresh air or even go in the pool or go to the beach! With this, the weather creates a better sense of mind, a positive outlook on the day, and fills people with a greater sense of happiness.

3. Glistening in gold

While practically glowing in the sunlight, being tan also creates a sense of cheerfulness. This is because once you are tan, you are automatically happier. I feel that many people are genuinely happier and kinder while being tan because they have a higher confidence level. As a result of this, people during the summertime are radiating with joy.

4. Going to the boardwalk

On the boardwalk, there is so much to do! Ice cream, arcades, restaurants and more! The whole atmosphere is so energetic and lively; it creates such a great feeling inside of you! While on the boardwalk everyone is smiling while gliding along the splintered wood path. Well, there is the occasional screaming child, but otherwise there is happiness all around. Going to the boardwalk at night is one of my favorite things to do during the summer because the entire atmosphere is filled with pure excitement.

5. Vacationing

Vacation is something I wait for all year round. I am so grateful to have traveled to places all over the world. While on vacation there is no stress, no worry and no rush! Once on vacation your outlook on everything is so tamed; you are not worrying about catching the next bus to get home or caring if you have to clean the house because you are now free of all duties. This is the greatest feeling anyone could ever have. Spending time with friends and family is a great time for everyone to bond and spend quality time together.

Summer is great for multiple reasons, but in summary, summer brings joy and happiness. The sun smiling all day long is what makes the summer so special. Just think, summer is only in a few months! Happy Winter!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
