It's finally November, which means it's finally CHRISTMAS!!! But for one second, let's back up a little bit and focus on Thanksgiving. We all get caught up in the rush of things and the roller coaster of life that sometimes we need to take a breather and reflect on everything we have, Here's some things to remember while you're eating some turkey.
1. This doesn't last forever.
We won't have our whole lives to spend with our families and friends. Most of the time we can take for granted the blessings that they are in our lives. This Thanksgiving, let's tell the people we love that we are so happy we know them.
2. Allow yourself to let go.
It's the beginning of the holiday season, we (hopefully) have a break from the sources of stress in our lives such as school or work. Even if we have papers due the day after the break, try not to worry about them. It may be hard and on our minds a lot, but let yourself be surrounded by family and friends and the holiday cheer!
3. Do not let disagreements get in the way.
This year there have been a lot of events that cause us to stray from one another and that can cause us to get into fights and arguments. One of these being the recent election. This Thanksgiving, let's put our differences aside and come together.
4. Focus.
We all have distractions that hinder us from spending time with our family and friends. Whether it be our phones, work, anything, just disconnect, for the time being, It will refresh you and able you to have a little getaway!
5. Eat...all...the...fooood!!
It's Thanksgiving. We can fill our plates with all the food we want with no judgment. No shame in having two (maybe even three) plates! You go and eat that dinner!! (Who doesn't eat a million bread rolls?!)
