It's safe to say that the invention of YouTube changed our generation and the way we interact. I remember when we were first introduced to it in 5th or 6th grade. My friends and I would spend hours on end looking up random and pointless videos on YouTube. Looking back, I see how much time we wasted doing this, but I also remember the hours of gut-splitting laughter that resulted from these videos. So, here's a look into my late childhood entertainment, and the entertainment of many others my age.

1. Muffins

This is a video with absolutely no point. It is also a video with basically no storyline. This video consists mostly of an endless string of muffin flavors.

2. Charlie The Unicorn

This is a video of a journey to the majestic Candy Mountain. It is a long journey filled with pointless banter ending with a surprise twist. Stay tuned to see what it is.

3. Potter Puppet Pals: The Mysterious Ticking Noise

This video contains a catchy tune that will be stuck in your head for years, decades, eons even. Fun fact: When my friends and I were about 5th graders, we recreated this video at a sleepover. The finished product was epic, though I'm unsure where it ended up. Enjoy!

4. The Duck Song

This video shows many emotions through the character of a small business owner: a man at a lemonade stand. This man goes from happy to frustrated to distraught very quickly with the help of an ever so persistent duck.

5. Marcel The Shell With Shoes On

This video details the life of an extremely well rounded shell. Marcel can do many things that I couldn't even dream of (hang-gliding for example). Also, the voice used in this video is absolutely adorable.

If you have made it this far, I would like to now apologize for this time of your life that I have wasted. You can never get these fourteen minutes and six seconds of your life back, and for that, I am truly sorry. After re-watching all of these videos that I found so humorous in my childhood, I now realize how pointless they were and how little sense they make. But hey, at the time, they were amazing. I hope they brought you back to a younger you!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
