During the holidays it's easy to get swooped up into the stress and busyness that comes with being an adult. it always seems like it was much more enjoyable as a kid when you didn't have to do anything but show up, open presents and eat. Here are some ways to still pretend to be a child during the holidays.

1. Build a Fort

Giphy

Get some blankets and pillows and build a cozy fort. Throw up some extra Christmas lights to add to the festivity.

2. Watch Your Favorite Holiday Movie

Giphy

The Grinch, Nightmare Before Christmas, Rudolph, all of the classics give you that warm fuzzy feeling like it's the first time you're watching them. Pop one in to watch while in your fort.

3. Eat a Bunch of Cookies and Treats

Giphy

Bake some cookies to eat. Or don't bake them and just eat the dough. Grab a tub of frosting and just go to down. This time you won't have a parent to yell at you when you get caught.

4. Drink Some Hot Chocolate

Giphy

Grab the marshmallows and the candy canes. Make yourself a delicious cup of hot chocolate to enjoy, add whipped cream and anything else you think would taste good!

5. Make Decorations and Crafts

Giphy

I don't know about you but as a child I loved all things glitter glue and coloring. Make some decorations or cards, get the creative juices flowing!

6. Make a Christmas List

Giphy

Do you remember how excited you used to get to write Santa a letter? Now you don't have to write one specifically to him but make a list of the gifts you want to receive You never know, you could get something!

7. Wear Festive Pajamas

Giphy

The more obnoxious the better! Does it have antlers attached to the hood? Footies? Get all nice and cozy as you wait to wake for the celebration to come.

8. Play in the Snow

Giphy

If you live in an area that gets snow for the holidays, throw on some snow pants and go play around. Make a snowman, throw some snowballs. If you don't live somewhere with snow see if there's a ski resort somewhere. Indoor or out. Fake snow is will do!

I'm A Woman And You Can't Convince Me Breastfeeding In Public Is OK In 2019

Sorry, not sorry.

Lately, I have seen so many people going off on social media about how people shouldn't be upset with mothers breastfeeding in public. You know what? I disagree.

There's a huge difference between being modest while breastfeeding and just being straight up careless, trashy and disrespectful to those around you. Why don't you try popping out a boob without a baby attached to it and see how long it takes for you to get arrested for public indecency? Strange how that works, right?

So many people talking about it bring up the point of how we shouldn't "sexualize" breastfeeding and seeing a woman's breasts while doing so. Actually, all of these people are missing the point. It's not sexual, it's just purely immodest and disrespectful.

If you see a girl in a shirt cut too low, you call her a slut. If you see a celebrity post a nude photo, you call them immodest and a terrible role model. What makes you think that pulling out a breast in the middle of public is different, regardless of what you're doing with it?

If I'm eating in a restaurant, I would be disgusted if the person at the table next to me had their bare feet out while they were eating. It's just not appropriate. Neither is pulling out your breast for the entire general public to see.

Nobody asked you to put a blanket over your kid's head to feed them. Nobody asked you to go feed them in a dirty bathroom. But you don't need to basically be topless to feed your kid. Growing up, I watched my mom feed my younger siblings in public. She never shied away from it, but the way she did it was always tasteful and never drew attention. She would cover herself up while doing it. She would make sure that nothing inappropriate could be seen. She was lowkey about it.

Mindblowing, right? Wait, you can actually breastfeed in public and not have to show everyone what you're doing? What a revolutionary idea!

There is nothing wrong with feeding your baby. It's something you need to do, it's a part of life. But there is definitely something wrong with thinking it's fine to expose yourself to the entire world while doing it. Nobody wants to see it. Nobody cares if you're feeding your kid. Nobody cares if you're trying to make some sort of weird "feminist" statement by showing them your boobs.

Cover up. Be modest. Be mindful. Be respectful. Don't want to see my boobs? Good, I don't want to see yours either. Hard to believe, I know.

Why You Should Attend The University of South Florida

Why The University of South Florida is the best school to go to.

Now before anyone says anything, yes I know I am biased. That's the whole point! The University of South Florida is truly an amazing institution. The campus is big, but not overwhelming. Trees and plants cover the grounds and create a very peaceful feel as you walk around campus. The buildings are modern looking, our facilities are advanced, and there is a sense of openness to the layout of everything. there are no confined or small areas, the whole campus is an open floorplan.

Additionally, the diversity rate of USF is incredibly high. there are people from all areas of life that come here and join the herd. We are unique in the sense that you never truly know who you'll run into as you go around campus. I have not had one negative interaction with anyone on campus. People are open-minded and allow you to be yourself. There is a constant feeling of kindness in the air, and not just from students. The professors are caring, the staff members are kind, and the janitorial staff members are some of the sweetest individuals I have ever met. You are always met with a smile.

USF also is in a great city, Tampa! There is so much to do in close proximity to the school. It's really quite amazing everything you can do. Down the street is Busch Gardens, across the street is MOSI, and Universal and Disney are only an hour drive East! There are also multiple restaurants around and shopping centers as well. the campus is clean, safe, inviting, and so much more. And if that wasn't enough to convince you, we also have our very own Publix! You cannot get much better than that!

Overall, USF is an amazing school that has amazing opportunities. If you are unsure of where to go, I would recommend coming up and taking a tour here. I absolutely love this school. GO BULLS!
