Coming back to school after a long break can cause you to feel a little disoriented. It might be the jet lag, it might be the long drive, or it could simply just be being back on-campus. Although the school is super demanding, you must be strong and survive your hectic schedule. Here are 11 tips to help you regain focus:

1. Design an environment for focusing.

Your bed shouldn't be your new desk.

2. Remind yourself why you're doing what you're supposed to do.

There are things expected of you. Sometimes looking at the bigger picture will help.

3. Plan your time accordingly.

Be on top of things before you fall behind.

4. Balance work and play.

Work hard to play as long as you want.

5. Outline your priorities.

Figure our what needs to be done first.

6. Take a minute to breathe and re-center yourself.

Taking deep breaths can help.

7. Keep a notepad nearby.

Write down what you need to do and what you've already done.

8. Develop an action plan.

Create some goals for success.

9. Think about how to tackle the next objective.

Brainstorm ways to work ahead.

10. Relax every now and then.

Remember to reward yourself for your hard work.

11. Stay healthy.

Don't stress too much- things will work out.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
