Here are a couple reasons why you should play!

This is the one game that I will recommend to everyone I know. Anyone can play it and everyone should. Besides the Legend of Zelda series; Life is Strange is my favorite game. There are so many reasons for people to play it. The game follows a high school girl named Max. I can't describe the game with enough justice. So watch this video instead! Just be forewarned that this game is rated M for mature themes.

Finished watching? Good, now I can tell you why you should play the game.

Story-Driven

The game has a lot of story to tell. It is split up into 5 episodes. Although the story is a slow-burn at first by the third episode you get really invested in the story. I was hooked after the first episode, but some people do say that the first two episodes are slow. The story is very rich. Where the story goes is unpredictable. At the end of episode 4 I was crying from the emotional reveal. At the end of episode 5 I was like "Can I have more?" Right now all of the episodes are available so you don't have to obsessively wait until the next one.

It's Relatable

There are parts in the story that people can relate to. This story deals with a lot of mature themes. However the creators deal with it very delicately. There is going to be something in the story that you can relate to. Each character is fleshed out and not just an NPC. If you spend time talking to them you can learn about their stories and their struggles. For example if you are nice to one of the bullies, you find out that she is jealous of you. She actually becomes kind of nice if you are nice back. Its similar to life, if you are nice to people-generally they are nice back. Also if you snoop in their room-they kind of get mad.

The Music

I love this music. This game actually introduced me to a new genre of music. The music is a mixture of licensed and original tracks. Both are fantastic and help shape the story. There were only two songs that I didn't like in the game. In addition each character's music style reflects their character. Max loves Indy music, while Chloe listens to more rock. When the songs play you can really feel the mood of the game. For example when the game really begins the song "To all of you" plays. The song highlights the idea that this game won't be generic. One of the lyrics is "To all of you, American girls in the movies/No one can tell where your heart is" This statement really talks about what most female roles in the movies are like. Very generally they have no depth. This song emphasizes that this game will not be like that. The characters will be rich, the story will be emotionally taxing, and the things you take from the game will be vast.

Its a good game for non-gamers as well

This game is a more story-driven game. Although there are parts where experience in video-games are nice, it is not necessary. The game is similar to a choose-your-own-adventure game. There are decisions that cause short term and long term effects. The game mechanics are simple enough to pick up and play. If you don't like video games, try this one. I would argue that this is not like the other video games you have seen.

The first episode is free!

Right now the first episode is free on steam. If you have the chance you really should try it. In addition all the episodes are $20. There is no reason why you shouldn't try this game right now.

There are flaws to this game of course, but I will still highly reccomend this game to anyone I meet!

Creating your schedule for the upcoming semester can be an exciting process. You have the control to decide if you want to have class two-days a week or five-days a week. You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
