Taylor Swift has been making music for a long time now, and she has made herself a household name across the U.S., and also the world. With five albums over the past nine years, she has created a huge fan-base amongst people of all ages, ethnicities and genders, and she doesn't appear to be stopping any time soon. However, there are always haters out there. Personally, I am a huge Taylor Swift fan, and I think that everyone else should be too, so here are a few reasons why I think Taylor Swift is pretty awesome.
She doesn't care what anyone else thinks of her.
Taylor feels a lot of backlash for what she does; she is in the music business, so it comes with the territory. Not everyone, however, can just brush it off so easily. She is showing the world that it is okay to do what you want, even if people don't approve. So not everyone agrees with her way of life, or doesn't like all of her music, but who really cares as long as you're doing what you love, right?
She can say how she feels through her music.
Taylor has been through the ringer when it comes to bad relationships. Many people claim that she stirs up all these problems just to write songs about them, but think about it—would you want to go through all of those bad relationships just to write about them? Many guys have hurt her, and she tells them and the whole world about how she feels through her well-written music. I am a huge fan of her music, so obviously I am biased, but I feel that her words speak to many people, and that is a pretty cool ability to have.
She makes amazing music videos.
Taylor has been making amazing music videos ever since “Our Song," but this past week she released a kick-ass music video to her song “Bad Blood." With a star-studded cast, this music video was destined for greatness, and we can't forget about her “Blank Space" video that I still watch on repeat. While I feel that music videos are not a super important factor contributing to one's musical success, her videos have always impressed me.
She was in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
Look at her. She just kills it.
She is genuinely funny
When she is being interviewed on TV she is always so personable and witty. Not all singers have comedic talent as well, even though part of it is due to her innate awkwardness, she still makes me laugh.
Because she dances terribly and does not care at all.
