Reasons Why Having Sisters is Awesome

Lately, it seems like finding true friends is nearly impossible. You have those who would ditch you for better plans, not even invite you, etc. When I was younger it used to make me so upset that my friends suck; but, as I am getting older I am starting not to really care because I have two sisters. Having sisters makes friendships extremely hard but having them completely rocks for a couple reasons:

1. They can't just stop being your sister.

As much as they want to sometimes, they can't stop being your sister. So they basically have to love you no matter what (even after you really piss them off).

2. They will always be there for you.

Sisters are the people that no matter happens in life will support you. Whether they agree with your decisions or not. They will never want to see you fail.

3. They will always be your best friends.

When you find yourself lost in need of a shoulder to cry on, sisters will be there for you. They will listen to all your problems and try to give you the best advise possible. Sisters are people that will always be willing to go on adventures with you and try new things with you. Sisters wil l do things for/with you just because they know it will make you happy.

4. You always have binge watching buddies.

Having sister provides you will buddies to binge watch Netflix with. ( I know this seems strange but it really creates a deeper bond)

5. They understand the need for "me time".

A lot of the time it seems that friends get mad when you'd rather stay in bed by yourself all night then go out on a Friday night. Sisters completely understand the need for "me time" and your respect your decision to stay in bed. They never beg you to do something that in you really don't want to do like friends would.

6. Always good for a laugh.

If ever you are down in the dumps sisters will always work their hardest to even get you to smirk. They will go to the end of the Earth to make you laugh a little and make you feel better.

7. Clothes and Shoes Swap

Having sisters allows you to have multiple wardrobes. Honestly, sometimes your clothes just don't cut it and you need to spice it you..with your sisters clothes of course!! Its basically like being Miley Stewart, she has her own wardrobe but also had Hannah Montana's wardrobe.

8. Having No Need to Impress Them.

Many people feel the need to impress their friends. They'll wear top brands and tell stories to make themselves look "cooler". Honestly, this is why having sisters as your best friends is probably the greatest thing ever. There is no real need to dress to impress or tell impressive stories because they don't really care about all of that. They love you for you and not the materials and the stories.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
