Why Men Should Watch 'One Tree Hill'

We all know that us girls can binge watch our "Gossip Girl," "Grey’s Anatomy," "Gilmore Girls," or "90210." But when it comes to "One Tree Hill" the guys need to grab their pillow, drink, and snacks for the night and get comfy because this show is just as much your show as it is ours; And here are the reasons why. Listen up fellas!

Basketball is the game.

This theme is short lived in the first couple seasons but it encompasses the masculine stereotype you guys all love. There’s fighting for who’s the best on and off the team and we know you guys like to compare notes between each other. Not to mention that in the later seasons when it all comes back around! It's about teamwork and family. It's about championships, hard work, and dedication. Needless to say, "One Tree Hill" centers around this sport gentlemen!

Music plays a huge role.

Haley is a rockstar, Peyton opens Tric, Chris Keller comes into the mix, hello Mia, and many many more! The writers of One Tree Hill are known for debuting artists on the set. Gavin Degraw, Fall Out Boy, Lupe Fiasco, Nick Lachey, Cheap Trick, Jack’s Mannequin, and Kid Cudi are just a few bands that have appeared on the show in the 9 seasons on air. Starting from episode one when Peyton is so immersed in her music that she almost runs over Lucas! We can see that music will never leave Tree Hill.

More Reality, less drama.

The show relates to your life. When you watch it, you think, “Man, I went through that” (maybe not exactly how it happened on screen, but you know what I mean). The friendships that are portrayed are real. The plots are real. The twists are real. You never see what’s coming next, but you can’t sit there and say “wow that can’t happen in reality.”

Simply, Nathan Scott. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE FELLAS! LISTEN UP!

Nathan Scott is the most important character to all the men out there that are watching "One Tree Hill." He’s a great friend, dad, athlete, and most importantly, husband. Let’s be honest, we all knew he was a douche in the beginning. But he overcame his obstacles and if you’re looking for someone who knows how to treat a lady, it’s Nathan Scott. Gentlemen, Nathan Scott knows the ins and outs of the female brain. He will do anything for his wife and family. So if you’re looking for a good way to pick up the ladies, watch Nathan Scott do his thing.

Quotes on quotes on quotes.

You need a quote? Watch "One Tree Hill". You need a life lesson? Watch "One Tree Hill."You need a pick-me-up? Watch "One Tree Hill". This show gives you life. It has an episode for everything. From bisexuality, to suicide awareness, to murder, to marriages, to nanny kidnappings, to more marriages, to babies being born, and much, much more! There’s an episode for everything. You need it? "One Tree Hill" has it. And I’m sure there’s a quote for it.

So I know the ladies are reading this, but are you showing this to your boyfriend? Or your husband? If not, do it! Because he needs to watch "One Tree Hill." We all need to watch "One Tree Hill." It gives us life. (or doesn’t give us life if you decide to binge watch on Netflix) My point is gentlemen, that the stereotype that One Tree Hill is a “chic flic” is TOTALLY bogus because if YOU watch it, you’ll be pulling in the ladies (if you’re single). Have fun, go watch, and enjoy!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
