Why is it that many of our young growing generations are forever excited when Christmas comes around? What is so special and jolly about the beginning of December? There are many reasons as to why we will forever be excited about December, so here's a list of reasons as to why we all get terribly excited about December.
1. CHRISTMAS BREAK: SLEEP IS EVERYTHING
Ummmmm hello no more having to wake up early in the morning! As college students, we appreciate times when we get to lay in bed for however long we want. No more putting 7 alarms on to wake up in the morning.
2. No More Homework/Assignments/Exams Or Quizzes!
No more having to break dawn stressing over forgotten homeworks. No more having to scavenge through textbooks, notebooks attempting to look for answers. Christmas break allows us to take a step back and be lazy without any guilt.
3. Binge Watching
With Christmas break we are given a lot more free time to ourselves. T.V. shows that we all missed because we didn't have a “life” during the semester can now be watched as we can lay down in bed with all types of junk food and enjoy our shows.
4. Snow
Who doesn't like snow, the fun of building snowmen, or making snow angels? And on the plus side making hot chocolate with marshmallows is always a classic favorite!
5. Friends & Family
With going to school, we don't really get to see much of our family or even our friends from back home. With more time on our hands we can spend time with our siblings--who all but drive us nuts--and our friends who deal with all our craziness.
6. Christmas Songs
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring
Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time
Dancing and prancing in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air!
With December break comes the Holiday Cheer. I know others and myself are terribly excited! Why hate this part of Winter Break when it becomes a time where it almost feels like you're a kid again? Christmas songs allow you the get all cheerful and to sing your heart out!
7. Christmas Movies
CHRISTMAS MOVIES!!!!!! At this point of time all of the networks show new and traditional Christmas movies. Classic ones to watch would be: Miracle on 34th Street, Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, and The Santa Clause 1, 2, & 3. There are many more movies to watch on the other hand there even many T.V. shows to watch as well!
8. Have A Happy New Year
It a sign of the year ending; we have all made it so far kicking and screaming. Many of us dying for the year to end and to run anew; to have fresh start. Hoping that the new year will bring us joy, happiness and prosperity!
As I wrap this up with a bow, I hope you all have made it through the last few days of the semester and I wish you the best of luck, and hopefully you are not all dead by the time the break arrives. So farewell my friends!
