1. It is the best place to eat Maryland Crabs.

I hope you like Old Bay!

2. Ocean City, MD has so much to do!

You can lay on the beach, go swimming, play a game of mini golf, walk on the boardwalk, play carnival games, ride carnival rides, go to clubs (if you are of age), and have the best french fries of your life ('sup Thrashers) all in one place!

3. You can visit Assateague Island off of the coast of Maryland and Virginia.

There are wild horses on an island off of the coast of Maryland and Virginia, 'nough said!

4. Baltimore's Inner Harbor is full of good eats and fun activities.

You can simply walk around the Inner Harbor, ride the paddle boats, tour a submarine, go to the aquarium, or ride the Spirit of Baltimore all in the same general vicinity.

5. You can visit the National Harbor in Prince George's County.

There is so many things to do here. You can ride the huge ferris wheel with enclosed cars, ride a mechanical bull at the Cadillac Ranch, visit the MGM Grand Casino and the big Gaylord Hotel.

6. Sugar Loaf Mountain is a great place to go hiking.

7. Great Falls is also a great location to visit!

You can visit Great Falls on either the Maryland or Virginia side. It's like a mini Niagara Falls.

8. You can root for the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.

Just some relatable college student advice! Yes, you aren’t the only one!

1. Don’t buy Textbooks the first week of class.

2. Ratemyprofessor.com! PLEASE use it!

3. Don’t wear your lanyard or ID around your neck, it makes it obvious for everyone to know you’re a freshman.

4. Always bring a charger or headphones wherever you go.

5. Don’t miss out on the free food on campus.

6. You don’t always need to dress up…Trust Me!

7. Get More Involved!

8. Don’t feel pressured to hook-up with anyone.

9. The Freshman 15 is REAL! Don’t brush it off!

10. It’s OK to say NO!

11. Drinking / Partying doesn’t equal popularity.

12. Try to spend less time in your dorm.

13. It’s OK to change your major!

14. Always take an Uber or Lyft!

15. Never go to a party alone!

16. Start your resume early.

17. Keep your door open when in your room.

18. Get to know your professors.

19. You don’t really need an unlimited meal plan.

20. Procrastinate = LATE!

21. If you need to…sleep!

22. It’s also OK to say ‘no’ to going out all the time!

23. Take advantage of the free stuff on campus!

24. Not everyone in college drinks.

25. Community bathrooms aren’t THAT bad.

26. Please get along with your roommate.

27. Spotify/Apple Music Playlists!

28. Please clean your room frequently!

29. Please Go to Class….You’re paying for it!

30. Do the extra credit!

31. DON’T Pick 8 am Classes!

32. Use the resources on campus.

33. Eat at Dining Halls to save meals or even cook your own food.

34. Make sure to pick your classes on time!
