5 Reasons To See "Spiderman: Homecoming" Like, Now

Luckily, we live in an era where there seems to be a new superhero movie out every few months. While some may say it's starting to be a little overdone, I don't think I could ever get enough of seeing heroes like Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the big screen (and yes, I am Team Marvel - sorry DC). Much to my delight, the latest Marvel movie focuses on a brand new Spider-man that has stood out from the rest. Here are just a few reasons why "Spider-man: Homecoming" is a must-see for Marvel fans everywhere - all without spoilers!

1. Tom Holland...enough said

Having an actor as young, entertaining and lovable as Tom play Spider-man was like a breath of fresh air. Don't get me wrong - Tobey Maguire will always be the original Spider-man, but there's something about Tom's interpretation of Peter Parker that makes audiences fall in love immediately. The 21 year old British actor is still pretty new to Hollywood, but after this movie - and the next six he has already signed onto play Spider-man in - he's quickly on his way to becoming one of the movie industry's biggest stars.

2. Jokes that are actually funny

There was multiple times during the movie that I found myself laughing so hard I almost came to tears. The jokes were perfectly timed and the actors' delivery was always perfect. It can be hard to make a superhero movie that has the right balance of action, humor, and plot development, but "Spider-man: Homecoming" does it all flawlessly. Try not to laugh once while watching this movie - I dare you.

3. A storyline that has audiences on the edge of their seats

I don't want to reveal too much, but this movie had all the perfect qualities of a Spider-man film. You have a 15 year old Peter Parker dealing with his life at school, his life at home, and his life with friends - all while dealing with villains and living the not-so-super life of a superhero. Oh, and since he's in high school, of course there's a girl involved. What could possibly go wrong?

4. An ensemble cast that makes the film amazing

Some of the bigger names in this movie include Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr. and Jon Favreau, who play each of their parts spectacularly. Jon Favreau has been the executive producer on all three Iron Man movies and some Avengers films, so seeing him reprise his role as Happy Hogan was nice for fans who have been following Marvel films for years. Not to mention the teenage cast, which includes fan favorites like Zendaya and newcomer Jacob Batalon, did a phenominal job in playing Holland's classmates. The movie would not have been anywhere near as good without a cast with such great chemistry.

5. Breathtaking action/special effects

It's not a superhero film without a villain, explosions, fire, and a whole lot of special effects. Hollywood has come a long way between the first Spider-man film to now, and the CGI in "Spider-man: Homecoming" is truly second to none. Marvel knows how to deliver when it comes to using effects for their movies, and this movie is no different.

"Spider-man: Homecoming" truly takes all of the elements a great superhero movie needs and has encompassed it into one great, entertaining, hilarious, heart-stopping film. Tom Holland and the rest of the supporting cast portray their characters flawlessly and will certainly do so again when they reprise their roles in the future. For now, head over to the nearest theater and check out "Spider-man: Homecoming" so you can add the friendly, neighborhood Spider-man to your list of favorite superheroes!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
