There are a lot of young people out there who have quit Facebook completely. I mean why post on a site that has all your family members ready to judge your every action? Every time you open your news feed, it's just pictures or statuses of newly engaged couples or pregnancy announcements. Is it really annoying? I mean, who even regularly posts on Facebook anymore? There's no point, right? Well, there are actually many reasons why you should keep browsing Facebook!

1. Sharing news

The famous social media site is known for sharing important news with its users. Users are constantly sharing missing child notices or GoFundMe links every second! It's amazing to see how much of an impact Facebook users can have on other people.

2. Sending donations and safety

When Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria hit, millions of users benefited the areas affected by the natural disasters by donating money to help those who were in need. During any powerful storm or natural disaster, Facebook has the ability for users to mark that they are safe.

3. Politics everywhere

Users are constantly sharing news of politics and issues regarding the economy that inform many citizens around the country especially around election time. It's interesting to see users from every corner of the world come together on this social media site to share their opinions on a variety of topics.

4. Events!

How about that Ed Sheeran concert you never heard about but everyone's posting about it on Facebook? Yup, there are a lot of events that people wouldn't know about if it weren't for Facebook.

5. Selling old things

Facebook also opened up something called "marketplace." It's basically like Craigslist and offers a lot of great stuff, for an even better price. Marketplace is also categorized according to items you, as the user, would be more interested in.

Facebook isn't how it used to be anymore. It's improved and many of its users love the new features that the social media site offers. I promise you, it's not a waste of time to have a Facebook account!

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
