Long-Distance Relationships Suck But True Love Makes It Worth It

Being away from the person you love most in this whole wide world is so difficult, you miss everything about them all the time. They just make you laugh when your sad and happy when you're mad. Without them there feels like there it this void in your heart. Nothing you can do to fill it other than to see them. There is an overwhelming feeling of loneliness sometimes where you just really want to see there face or hold their hand. But just knowing that you will be able to see them soon makes it a little bit easier to get through the time without them.

Facetiming is a great thing, but when all you wanna do is be able to hug them and just be in their presence it makes you miss them more.

FaceTime allows you to see the person you are missing so much, its a lot more of a personal way to communicate to over the phone. But you see there face and all your wishing is to see them in person and be able to just be around them.

The constant worrying about if the distance is going to get to hard for them and they are going to want to end it, even though they constantly say they won't.

You can't help but worry because this person makes you happy and they bring so much more joy to your life. Like long distance isn't easy it never will be and that scares you. There are so many horror stories about long distance and how it never works out but you want to not be part of that group of people.

But when you finally get to see them after all this time its an overwhelming feeling of love and just happiness.

All that waiting and anticipation finally paid off and you just can't express how happy you are. Like being able to hug them and love them and not talk to them through a screen is just an indescribable feeling. You savor every moment you get with them while you are with them.

Long-distance maybe really hard sometimes but in the end, it is all worth it because you know that eventually, you won't have to do it anymore.

love conquers all and it will always be worth it because this person completes you. They are the other half of your heart and if being away from them, for now, means that you can live the rest of your life with them then so be it.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
