What comes to mind when you think about Florida? Is it the alligator attack at Disney? Perhaps it is the newest drug craze, flakka. Or maybe even the fact that we are the target of almost every hurricane landfall? Even with all this, there are plenty of reasons Florida is still the best state.
Florida has undoubtedly the best weather in the Country.
Floridians never have to worry about shoveling snow out of their driveway to get to work on time or buying heavy winter coats to protect them from below freezing weather. Our average winter temperatures are in the mid 70s and rarely ever drop below 60 degrees. Us Floridians can wear shorts and flip flops 365 days a year.
There are always new places to explore.
Florida is home to the Everglades, the largest subtropical wetland in the country, over 800 freshwater springs, features the only living coral barrier reef in the continental United States, and has 633 miles of beachfront. Not to mention the oldest European settlement, St. Augustine.

Everywhere you go you run into someone speaking a foreign language, opportunities to try new cuisine, or a person from another country. It is refreshing to be surrounded by so much diversity all the time.

Florida was the perfect location due to its proximity to the equator where the linear velocity of the Earth is greatest. It also already had well built roads due to military occupation and it is located on the east coast so the launch is over the ocean.
Although Florida is often perceived as the craziest state in the nation, the pros far outweigh the cons. Those who do not appreciate all it has to offer have clearly never lived here.
