Thanksgiving Break is right around the corner, and with all the food and family that comes with it, people are starting to get really excited. I am most definitely one of those people. The thought of family all gathered around the table eating food, playing in the leaves outside, and just being together in general brings warmth to my heart. I cannot wait for Thanksgiving Break, and here are the 11 reasons you shouldn’t be able to wait either.
1.The Big Meal
Everyone loves food, and everyone knows that during Thanksgiving you get the most of it. The turkey, the gravy, the stuffing -- everything is to die for, and you know you’re always in the running for the turkey wish bone.
2. The Amazing Weather
Somehow whenever it's Thanksgiving, the weather always changes to the perfect amount of crisp in the air combined with warmth when the sun is out. The leaves become perfect for pile making -- what more could you ask for?
3. The Family
Being with family is awesome, and the holidays always put everyone in a happier mood. This is one of the only times that my family gets to be all together, and I cherish every moment, as should you. Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for everything -- especially your family.
4. Outdoor Activities
Having the whole family together means dueling in thousands of different games. From kickball to leaf pile building, you can play them all, and you are the one who always wins, too, right?
5. The Dessert
Pies galore! Who doesn’t love a good pie? Thanksgiving has them all and much, much more. So if you’re looking to eat your heart out, this holiday is the way to go for you.
6. The Decorations
Little turkeys, big turkeys, everything from cornucopias to leaves -- the Thanksgiving decorations are the absolute cutest, and they are ever so easy to take down and put up.
7. Black Friday Sales
The best deals of the year are here, and they’re ready for you. Not to mention they’re here just in time for you to finish (or maybe start) your present-shopping for the holidays.
8. The Macy's Day Parade
This is the telltale sign that it’s the holiday season, and you know everyone in your family and neighborhood is sitting down to watch or playing it in the background. It’s actually awesome, and who doesn’t love seeing all the little kids jumping up and down waiting for their favorite floats?
9. Football
The most famous American past time -- who doesn’t love a good turkey sandwich and some football? Even if the game isn’t a good one, you best bet you and your family are sitting down together to watch it.
10. Leftovers
After Thanksgiving, there is still food for days. Which is amazing, because you can eat that delicious turkey until you get sick of it, and you don’t have to cook for a while!
11. Christmas Is So Close
Everyone loves Christmas even more than Thanksgiving. Presents, family, more food -- there’s nothing to not like. Knowing that Thanksgiving is here means that Christmas is that much closer, and that rocks.
