The Gilmore Girls revival is upon us. Everyone's favorite mother/daughter duo is back in action and taking Netflix by storm. While I'm sure I don't really have to convince anyone, I wanted to share five reasons to be excited for the reboot, and what better way to do that than with a snappy and quick listicle, fast talking Lorelai would be so proud.

1. Character development for Michel

Michel Gerard provided lots of comedic sass throughout the show, and became well loved because of his loyalty to Lorelai and Sookie. He was always around to provide snappy one liners that were the show's signature. His comically heavy french accent combined with his posh attitude made him a great contrast to the small town of Stars Hollow. We never really got to know Michel on a deeper level, beyond being a snooty concierge for the inn. I can't wait to see what he is up to in the revival, and see where the writers guide his story. I hope we get a lot more background on the frenchman and a more personal at look who he is.

2. A happy ending for Lorelai and Luke

We all know we want Lorelai to end up with Luke. We have all known that since episode one. The writers toyed with us for so long, pairing them with other people and denying their feelings. When they get together (finally), circumstances tear them apart. While it does appear in the finale that things are fixed between them, it's still a little ambiguous and open ended. I would love to see them finally get the solid and definite happy ending that they both deserve.

3. MORE MELISSA MCCARTHY

Sookie St. James is, in my opinion, the most lovable and dependable character on the show. Melissa McCarthy does an amazing job portraying the quirky and lovable chef. She is a loyal friend, wife and mother. Her eccentricities always bring a smile to my face while I am watching the show. Any problems she faces on the show always seem small compared to those of the other characters, which I kind of appreciate. She keeps the show happy and light, providing guidance and support to everyone else in the story.

4. Mother/ daughter bonding

Rory and Lorelai's relationship is the backbone of the show. While they are family, they are also best friends and I think that is what so many people love about the series. While they do have their conflict from time to time, they are always there for one another. Their relationship touched me because it reminds me a lot of my mom and I, and I am grateful to the show for portraying such a beautiful bond. However, Rory and Lorelai aren't the only mother/daughter duo on the show. Lorelai's conflict with her mother Emily drove a lot of the show as well as we watched them try and learn to trust each other again. Their bond improved over the show, but in the revival I would really like to see them be there for one another and finally bury the hatchet.

5. We finally get to see who Rory will end up with

Rory's character found her way through three major relationships while on the show. She started with Dean, the sweet small town high school sweetheart who took care of her. She then moved on to Jess, the smart and sensitive bad boy who pushed her to be the best she could be when she got a little off track. Her last and arguably most serious relationship was with Logan, the dare devil rich boy who pushed her out of her comfort zone and showed her a new perspective of the world. Personally, I think Logan and Rory loved each other very much and would have a beautiful relationship together, but I also think she never really got her shot with Jess and that life with him would make her very happy as well. I think the general consensus from fans is as long as she doesn't end up with Dean we are happy. Dean was a sweet first boyfriend but she outgrew him. It will be exciting to see who Rory chooses, she is such a special character and deserves a special ending.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
