Cousins are the siblings that when y'all fight, they can just go home, and you don't have to spend every single second of the day with them if you don't want to. They are the best people to be around when you just need a break. They always have your back no matter what because they are your family, and family means nobody gets left behind. Here are 9 reasons your cousins are actually your best friends!

1. You grow up with them.

I remember being a little kid and I was always with my cousins. If we weren't all at my house, then we were at one of their houses.

2. They are at all of your family gatherings.

Family gatherings would be torture if you didn't have your best friends there to keep you company.

3. Y'all take fun photos.

You know each others personalities so well that y'all match poses to get a good photo.

4. No matter how long it has been since you've talked, it feels like no time has passed.

With a bunch of us off at college, I don't talk to my cousins as much as I used to, but whenever we do talk, it feels like I just talked to them an hour ago.

5. You spent way more time with them than with your other friends as a kid.

As a kid, I spent most of my time with my cousins, either going to school, after school, summer camp. We did everything together.

6. They are your Big/Little sibling.

I was an only child, so my cousins were all basically my little siblings. I spent so much time with them, it was absolutely insane.

7. Nobody could ever compare to the bond you have with them.

My cousins and I were inseparable almost our whole lives. Up until high school, some of us went to the same school, so no matter who I met, nobody could ever beat the bond I had with my cousins.

8. You can confide in them.

Nobody has ever kept your secrets better than a cousin.

9. You go on vacations together.

What is better than going on vacation? Going on vacation with your best friends of course!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
