Once you hit junior year in high school, stress starts hitting you. At that point, you have to start looking at colleges, and seeing where the best and more affordable place for you is. It's not something that you can do overnight, it takes quite some time. There are so many things you have to think at, such as the location, the price, the classes they have and so much more. If your looking to go to a college with a dorm, you have to make sure you got good grades in high school so they will accept. Nowadays, the acceptance rate is pretty high.
At about senior year, is when you want to have a pick and apply there. College is tough in so many aspects, whether it's thinking about it or actually applying and preparing for it. I started thinking about it junior year. I kept saying to myself that i wanted to leave New Jersey and go somewhere with a dorm an meet new people. In my opinion, I find community college a better way to start your college experience.
Reasons why community college is the best way to start:
1. It's local.
2. It's cheaper.
3. Financial Aid.
4. Less students, more help available.
5. More online classes available.
6. Easier to get accepted.
7. A flexible schedule.
8. Qualified Professors.
It's a lot to think about, but overall community college is probably the best choice. In the long run, it saves you money so then when you eventually go to a 4 year college, you'll be able to afford things there. It all just helps you in the long run.
