For those of you who know how much it hurts when you're heartbroken and that you never want that feeling again. besides the hurt and the sad feelings you get, after a heartbreak, you become a stronger person. Sometimes it's ok to be vulnerable and to be open and to feel all the emotions you are scared of. Sometimes heartbreaks can be a good thing. Hard to imagine? Let me tell you the reasons why.

1. Important lessons can be learned

You learn about things you want and things you don't want. You learn more about yourself and self-awareness is important. You also learn to let things go and to talk more about what is hurting you, which is a great benefit. When you're hurting and heartbroken. If you have something in your thoughts, something you are not expressing, the moment you do that, you start to feel better.

2. Sense of gratitude

When you break up an unhappy relationship or a toxic one, you are sad its gone but you are also grateful you had to experience something like that and taught you your values and what change needs to come in your life. People feel gratitude to have experienced something like this because it shapes you into the person you are today.

3. It challenges you

When you have a heartbreak, it can really change you as a person but you have control on what type of change you want in your life. Do you want to keep dwelling on something negative and hit rock bottom or do you want to be strong and become a better you? There are many ways you can deal with a heartbreak and doing so gives you a stronger perspective on life.

4. It makes you more productive

In many ways, heartbreak keeps you productive and helps your mind become more creative. For example, many talented artist and musicians works are inspired by heartbreak. For most people, it could be the main source of inspiration. It inspires you to do new things, and think differently than your normal self.

5. It gives space for better things in your life

A saying by Leonard Cohen, "There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in." This saying means a lot to a heartbroken person. It makes you believe that even something so painful can be a positive thing. It's always good to have positive outlooks on everything, that's how you get through it. You let much better things in and out.

Everyone should have and go through this painful experience. When you're heartbroken, you are supposed to feel sadness and pain, it's ok to do so, it's your body's way of communicating to you. Heartbreak can lead to a stronger and braver version of you, it can lead to happiness and success. Life always goes on, we usually always survive it.
