This year, the holiday festivities have started earlier than expected. The weather is changing to a more cold, frigid type and people are slowly bring out their warm necessities, such as mittens, hats and ugly Christmas sweaters. The fun has officially come!! As the sounds of Christmas songs fill the air with joy and excitement. Then the holiday cheer is followed by the smell of fresh baked goods and cookies that brings such a sweet aroma throughout the neighborhood. But you cant forget the awesome sales that continue all month long to give to the close loved ones and friends. Although these special moments that remind us of the wonderful holiday season and parties ahead, let us not forget the true reason of the Christmas season. The name above all names in this entire world that cannot be compared to any other name. It brings life to the nonliving and revives us from the inside out. His name is Jesus!! I cannot comprehend how this special time is for all people especially the individuals that hold onto their faith found in the Son of God. Through his birth, people are saved from their sins that were committed since the creation of the world and fall of man. But the world has simply covered this precious reason with only the gifts given to people, in exchange of your own. But I feel that if we can remember the true gift that has changed the entire world as a whole. His name is Jesus!! Son of Man!! Apart from the precious gift that was given to save humanity, my favorite part of the season is the Christmas carols that are sung every year. I just love the way that the songs make me feel and it also remind of my childhood. I remember the way that I loved Christmas as a child and til this day, it still remains my favorite holiday other than the thanksgiving holiday where we give thanks to Lord for the goodness and mercies upon our lives. Although this year was one of the most difficult times for my family and I, when I recall this gift , I cannot complain at all. My life was given to me freely all because the savior gave his own life for me to be saved from this calamity of a world. God gave His only begotten Son.,that all that live through Him, we will all gain eternal life. I want to encourage you to take time to offer gratitude for this particular gift that was given to us all. Thank Him for this gift!! Without this gift, we would not alive today.
