1. You're okay. Everything is okay. If not, everything will eventually be okay.

2. If it's broken, fix it.

3. Alcohol can not fix all your problems, neither can sad lyrics. You need to get up and get shit done.

4. It's okay to be proud of yourself. Be proud of your accomplishments. Be proud of who you are. Be proud of who you love.

5. Love is love and love is beautiful. No matter what.

6. There's a lot more racist people in the world than you thought. People are going to look at you different just because you are different.

7. Different is okay. Different is good. It's not boring. Strive for difference.

8. if you want something, get off your ass and do it. You can't complain about something if you're just on your couch.

9. Change sucks. It's going to happen and it's going to hurt. If so, refer back to #1.

10. Journaling is one of the best things you will discover. There's no rules to it. Just write. If something good happens, write it. Something bad? Write that too. Something changed? Write about it.

11. Life can and will hit you like a train and you will be forced to grow up. You will be okay. You'll learn a lot about yourself.

12. It's okay to have a bad day. It's okay to be depressed. It's okay to have a mental illness. You deserve that day off.

13. Life will move on with or without you. Either you get on the bus and join everyone or you get stuck behind everyone else.

14. Start waking up earlier. It seems like a chore but you'll feel a lot better and, once your body gets used to it, it'll start waking up earlier on its own.

15. Tell everyone you love that you love them. Life is shorter than you think.

16. There can be a year as crappy as 2016. It's finally over. You made it. Here's to a better 2017.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
