12 Things You're Missing Out On If Your Best Friend Isn't A German Shepherd

In my perfectly unbiased opinion, German Shepherds are the best dogs that a person can have. They're sure to turn into your babies in no time. If you've been lucky enough to have a German Shepherd in your life, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. If not, here's 12 things you're missing out on:

1.German Shepherds will make you the happiest person alive.

From day one, they'll fill your heart with joy.

2. They will always let you know that you’re safe.

Don't mind me, I'm just walking around with my personal bodyguard. Even if they wouldn't hurt a fly, people tend to not mess with German Shepherds.

3. You'll never get bored.

German Shepherds will take you on walks, they'll play fetch with you, and they'll even let you laugh at them while they chase their tails.

4. They’re the best company to keep.

Most of the time, they just want a nice belly rub and some relaxation.

5. German Shepherds are a perfect mix of beautiful and badass.

Just look at her!

6. They are incredibly obedient.

Of course, puppies are puppies. If they're raised right, they know right from wrong.

7. Training is easy, they’re fast learners.

It takes a good trainer, but they pick up on things SO quickly. My parents were surprised every time she came home with a new trick!

8. They’ll definitely steal your heart.

"OK, just one more treat!"

9. German Shepherds are the best at keeping the bed warm.

You'll have to wash your bedding often because they shed like crazy, still worth it.

10. They’ll always make you laugh when you're sad.

They'll lick away your tears, bring you their toys, and cuddle up until you're happy again.

11. Some have the most dramatic dog personalities ever.

Mine will literally throw a tantrum and fake an injury if she’s not getting enough attention. Just like momma.

12. They will be the best friend you’ve ever had.

Every minute you put into loving them will be so worth it.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
