The Boone nightlife -- it's fun, fabulous, and freakishly packed. If you know anything about the bar scene at Appalachian State, you know each bar has a little bit of its own personality. So here are some "too real" slogans for each Boone Bar.
1. Klondike Cafe: "Consistently Crowded"

Back in the day freshman never dared stepped foot at Klondike's plastic temporary fenced gates. Now the shibboleth is any ID that matches the "must have been born before this date" sign. Capacity is some kind of imaginary figure around the student population of Appalachian, but what is college without the Klondike Cafe.
2. Parthenon Cafe: "Once A Week, When Getting Into Other Bars Looks Bleak"
These iconic white columns are home of the first year students and blue motorcycle pitchers. If the line is too long at the other trailer bars this might be your next move. This classic freshman move is a right of passage. If you haven't spent a night out at Pnon -- are you really living?
3. Geno's: "What's A Liquor License?"
Throwback to the Thursday to swing dancing to Adam Church melodies and waiting entirely too long in line for a beer. No matter what the say, Geno's, you will be missed. After an unfortunate loss of their liquor license, our favorite Thursday night hangout is permanently closed.
4. Galileo's: "Open At 4 So You Can Start Waiting In Line Then"
Maybe because it's the only place to take a fish bowl pic with your bestie, or it's where Karaoke stars are born on Friday nights, but the line for the little red bar off West Kings St. is always longer than the DMV's. Once you get in it's a party. Feel free to sing your heart out and have the mic turned way down, so not to break those glass doors.
5. The Local: "Char Improved"
A little while ago Char went under an extreme makeover bar edition. What was once rave central, is now a home of live music, great food, and a totally different crowd. If you and your friends are wondering what the Thursday night move is, chances are The Local is an option.
6. Tapp Room: "When You Feel Like Adulting, But Still Want To Go To The Trailer Bars"
This is where the music is a little less loud, the line a little less long, and the scene a little less young. There is always a game playing and a bathroom open. You can usually keep your cheese fries and seat from being taken by drunk strangers. This is a 21 and upper's safe haven from the chaos that comes from freshman and their fake IDs.
So there they are. Stay classy Boone.
