Yes, I'm 20 And I Can't Wait To Get Married

I may only be 20, but I'm so ready for this next stage of life.

Here are a couple facts: I am 20 years old, going into my junior year of college. My boyfriend is 22 and works full time as a police officer. I absolutely cannot wait to get married and start a family.

Now don't get me wrong, I love my life at college. I love living in an apartment with my friends and going to classes and just the day-to-day life of being a college student. I have nothing bad to say about anybody wanting to wait to get married.

But, here's another fact for you: my boyfriend and I live three hours minimum from each other and both work full time, demanding jobs — our times together are limited and far spread out.

I can't wait to finish my degree and start out life together full time instead of constantly dreaming of it.

I can't wait to come home every night to the man I love.

We don't get to see each other very often and when we do, it's short-lived and we don't get that alone time that couples tend to crave. I can't wait for the day when I can come home from the job I love and make an awesome dinner for my husband and enjoy it within the comfort of our own home.

I can't wait to share the little moments.

Getting ready in the morning together or getting ready for bed together; cooking or cleaning our home...all those day-to-day things married couples experience together has my heart so happy and it's something I can't wait to experience myself.

I can't wait to create our home.

Taking a home and making it ours is something I've always looked forward to.

I can't wait to get our first dog.

We're both dog-lovers and it takes any dog to make my heart melt; we're constantly talking about getting a dog but that's rather difficult when we're separated 25 or so days a month.

Most of all, I can't wait to not have to rely on phone calls or text messages to know he's okay.

Add together long distance and a dangerous job; my mind is constantly on the run and my anxieties peak if I don't hear from him on time. Being within a couple minutes is going to bring so much comfort and ease my mind at least a little.

So yes, I may only be 20 and I may have my whole life ahead of me, but I am so, so ready to settle down and start the next stage of my life. Sure it isn't for everyone, but it's something I've been picturing and hoping for my whole life. Now that I've found someone who makes my life so complete, the next stage of life is so exciting.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
