Have you ever been so into a book that you felt like you were in it? If you're a true reader you know you've had that moment where you get to the end of a series and you're just like, "That's it?!" Your heart hurts and you're flabbergasted; asking yourself, "What happened next? Did Erinn and Joseph have kids?" You just want the series to continue on and on forever until you know what's going on with Erinn and Joseph's great-great grandkids.
THAT is what it is like to be sucked into a book world. Some people might wonder why they would want to be sucked into a book world. Well, I'll tell ya!
The number one reason you need to find a good book is because it will take away all your stress. Whether it takes just reading the first few lines of a book or the first few chapters, if you get sucked in...you forget everything else while you're reading. You're no longer in Charlotte, NC or Jacksonville, FL or Atlanta, GA or wherever you are. You are in the story.
Also, you won't need TV any more! Reading is literally like watching word movies. It's amazing! Cheaper than going to the movies, too!
BUT, heed my warning, you must be careful because you might become addicted!
Look for these symptoms of addiction:
1.You're reading everywhere, now; before you go to bed, walking your dog...
at the dinner table, during class, on the toilet, or even while driving!
(please seek help if this is you! be careful!)
Books are magic. They are these special little paper filled worlds that can give us peace and relief. They, also, have the power to make you mourn for the characters who became your friends when the story ends. For us avid readers, you know what I mean. I know I've read a series that continued down to the great grandkids and let me tell you, nothing pleased my soul more. To know what happened to their entire make believe family gave me the closure I needed. Because PSA to authors, that's what we need! We've read all your books, every trilogy, every saga and all we ask is for a little bit of closure each time. Do NOT give us a cliff hanger, UNLESS you're going to continue the series. *cue crazed smile*
ANYWAYS, back to the magic. Books are wonderful portals of escape. Find the book that calls to you and the saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover," is very true! Only judge the book by its inner panel (or back) that tells you what the book is about. If you want to keep reading or find out what happens after reading that bit then it might be the book for you! Now, my book lovers and my non book lovers, please, go! Find your portal and escape...
