I haven't been able to read as much as I used to ever since school started back up. I've missed reading for fun (as I like to call it), and just talking about books in general. So when I came across this book tag, you bet I just had to share...let's get to it.

E-Book or Physical Book?

Physical. E-books make it difficult to re-read, especially your favorite parts.

Paperback or Hardback?

To read? Paperback. To sit on my bookshelf and look pretty? Hardback.

Online or In-Store Book Shopping?

In-store. Monthly Half-Price Books rounds are the best.

Trilogies or Series?

Series.

Heroes or Villains?

Heroes, but I can appreciate a great villain.

A book you want everyone to read?

The Martian, by Andy Weir, because Mark Watney's humor is one of the best things ever. Also, space.

Recommend an underrated book?

Things We Know By Heart, by Jessi Kirby. "Perfect for fans of Sarah Dessen, this unique and emotional story about an unexpected bond between two strangers will leave no heart untouched."

The last book you finished?

For school or for fun? For school, Evelina, by Frances Burney (3/5 but would not pick up 'for fun') and for fun, Famous Last Words, by Katie Alender (also 3/5).

The Last Book You Bought?

Kill The Boy Band, by Goldy Moldavsky. "From thrilling new talent Goldy Moldavsky comes a pitch-black, hilarious take on fandom and the badass girls who have the power to make—or break—the people we call 'celebrities.' "

Weirdest Thing You've Used as a Bookmark?

A hairbrush.

Used Books: Yes or No?

Yes.

Top Three Favorite Genres?

Contemporary, Fantasy/Sci-fi, and Young Adult/New Adult Friction.

Borrow or Buy?

Buy.

Characters or Plot?

Characters. I'm not going to enjoy the story if I don't like the characters.

Long or Short Books?

Long, duh.

Long or Short Chapters?

Short. It feels like your reading a lot quicker. Plus, long chapters tend to drag.

Name The First Three Books You Think Of...

Red Rising (Pierce Brown), Slammed (Colleen Hoover), and Me Before You (Jojo Moyes).

Books That Makes You Laugh or Cry?

LAUGH.

Our World or Fictional Worlds?

Fictional, again duh.

Audiobooks: Yes or No?

No. Honestly, they weird me out, and I zone out while listening.

Do You Ever Judge a Book by its Cover?

Heck yeah I do. I own lots of pretty books that I hated.

Book to Movie or Book to TV Adaptations?

Movie.

A Movie or TV-Show You Preferred to its Book?

The Hunger Games Trilogy.

Series or Standalone's?

Having more of the characters I love is great, but when it comes down to it, a lot of the times the first book is usually the best. But, I guess, like Jesse, from jessethereader, says, it does depend on the genre. (See video below.)

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
