9 Random Reasons To Smile Today

For some reason, some days can be simply dreadful. Over the years I have learned new facts, I don't know why I remembered these such facts, but on the bad days they can be extremely helpful.

So, if you you're having a bad day, or just need a little something to turn that frown upside down... Enjoy these random, and probably useless facts that simply just make me smile! I hope they make you smile too!

1. Sea horses hold each others tails when traveling. The men also carry and produce the babies

It's so cute. I can't. Like just heart warmed. Bam. As for the babies, at least one man on this earth gets the pain. LOL>

2. Rainbows can occur at night... They're called "moonbows"

Life goal; see a moonbow, and shout "IT'S A MOONBOW"

I feel like there'd be a unicorn chilling nearby, I mean come on, A NIGHT RAINBOW!!

3. Squirrels help to plant thousands of trees a year. But it's because they're forgetful... They forget where they put their acorns, A.K.A their food source

Don't feel bad if you're forgetful... Sometimes it can really be a good thing. So the next time you're hard on yourself for forgetting, remember this!

4. Some people actually believe chocolate milk is produced by brown cows

As long as you don't believe this, you're going somewhere in life. I promise, you will be okay.

5. Crocodiles can not stick their tongues out

Poor things!

6. Monday, January 27th is National Bubble Wrap Appreciation day

With all the odd, national holidays that have been created.. I am so happy this exists. I mean like, yeah, GO bubble wrap!

7. Penguins propose to their (potential) lifetime mate by offering them a pebble

I. Want. A. Pebble.

This fact also always reminds me of the Halloween Charlie Brown special, when the little boy holds his hand up and says, "I got a rock"

8. Shakira was kicked out of her choir as a kid because they thought she was a bad singer. And Madonna worked at Dunkin before becoming famous

Never give up on your dreams. That is all I have to say.

9. Dolphins get high by playing with pufferfish

The poison in puffer fish released when they puff up, gets the dolphins high.

It just goes to show, that everyone needs to take some time to relax and have fun. It's okay to live your life.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
