The hardest part about finding a cute, lovable companion is acknowledging what qualities you are looking for. Personally, I have found all of the perfect qualities in the little guys running around in city dumpsters. This is why raccoons are better than people.

1. They are easily entertained.

Raccoons simply take care of themselves. You never have to worry about keeping them busy or even giving them attention. They love doing their own thing and they are more of a source of entertainment to their friends.

2. They can climb anything.

3. They love to race.

4. They know how to comfort you when you are feeling down.

Ever need a friend to just love on you while you are sad and alone? Raccoons will always be there to cuddle and keep you comfortable, even if you get tired of their affection.

5. They are really good at hide and seek.

6. They get along great with other pets.

7. They never complain about being overweight.

Friends can complain about annoying things all the time. Raccoons never complain, they just enjoy who they are. Friends who love life are the best types of friends.

8. They are never mean. (Unless they have rabies.)

9. They are always willing to be your dance partner.

Raccoons do not judge. They love to get up and move around. So if you are the type to get a little crazy and dance around like a maniac, a raccoon is the perfect companion.

10. They are great at picking up trash.

11. They have are overall very talented.

Having a raccoon around is like having a miniature circus. Raccoons are always willing to try new things, and they are very coordinated. Watching a raccoon perform tricks is probably more entertaining than the nightly news.

Give raccoons a try! These little critters will surprise you! Although raccoons sort through trash all the time, garbage men do the same thing, and people still love them!

I would advise against bringing these guys into your home, but feel free to watch them closely from a safe distance.
