Happy Sunday, everyone! Can you believe we are already halfway done with April? In a few short weeks, some will be graduating, some will be going back home, and some will be embracing their college town during the summer months. No matter the plan, we are all about to be experiencing whatever new, sunny adventures Summer 2018 will hold!

But as we all know, there is one final obstacle staring us down from the distance that is standing in between now and freedom (and by freedom, I mean jobs and internships, yippee), and that is finals week. Finals week at this point has turned into finals season, but it is fine, we are fine! A season of exhaustion, stress, and silently crying in the library; it sounds like a happy time, doesn't it? To be honest, I am sick of the fear surrounding finals week, and the best way of getting rid of fear is being prepared and trusting the process.

So, in honor of my adamant, unwavering wants for this finals season, I have compiled a list of quotes that inspire, uplift, and reassure me when I am trying to get through work and get through life. These quotes go deeper than just tackling school work; this semester, I have had an intense realization of how my life truly looks, and light has been shown in areas that I need to improve. If I am being honest with Y'all, I am pretty nervous and even afraid sometimes about these changes and need words of affirmation. So, maybe school is wonderful for you, and maybe you are more concerned with life, family, your path, friends, significant others, health, et cetera, or maybe it is flipped with life shining brighter than it ever has, but school is dragging you down. Maybe it's neither and all is well or all is horrible.

Either way, I hope these quotes inspire you all to get through whatever life is throwing your way.

“I am learning everyday to allow the space between where I am and where I want to be to inspire me and not to terrify me.”

- Tracee Ellis Ross
“God put you there. Be confident. Be humble.”

- Shelley Giglio
“Plenty of people are going to tell you that you can’t, so why not tell yourself that you can?”

- Unknown

“If you think you’ve blown God’s plan for your life, rest in this; you, my beautiful friend, you are not that powerful.”

- Lisa Bevere
“You have been assigned this mountain to show others it can be moved.”

- Unknown
“She was afraid of heights, but she was much more afraid of never flying.”

- Atticus
“I can't see what's in front of me; still I will trust You.”

- Steffany Gretzinger
“Fear tricks us into living a boring life.”

- Donald Miller
“I would rather be what God chose me to make me than the most glorious creature that I could think of, for to have been thought about, born in God’s thoughts, and then made by God, is the dearest, most precious, and grandest thing in all thinking.”

- George MacDonald
“Even if you shake, a step is still a step.”

- The Better Man Project
“It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.”

- Paulo Coelho

As we wrap up our reflection on these quotes, I hope you all have a wonderful week packed full of adventure, encouragement, and love. Conquer your finals and life with confidence and assurance! I will be praying for you all and your lives, and that whatever needs to be introduced to you is introduced. Catch ya next week! Spread love and (Go Dukes)!

With blessing,

Ash

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
