As the months continue to tick by, and senior year gets closer to the end, I've turned to many people for wisdom on how to handle what comes next. As I look back on the last three years, and ahead to the next four, I can't help but wonder what to expect. As I look at the classrooms that fill my high school I wonder how they tricked me into thinking four years was so long. I feel torn between holding on to the oncoming days, and reaching for a new place and experience. It's funny how sometimes the best wisdom comes from those you don't even know.

"Appreciate this moment. Stop and look around you. Be thankful for all you have and where you are because this time next year, nothing will be the same" - r.h. Si
"Enjoy it because it's happening" - Unknown

"I always knew looking back on the tears would make me laugh, but I never knew looking back in the laughs would make me cry" - Dr. Seus
"Senior year is for the tears, facing the fears, loudinging the cheers. You find out how close you are to some and how far away you are from others. You'll have yours lasts and get ready for your firsts. Then look back on it and remember it forever" - Unknown

"You get to decide the legacy you leave" - Unknown
"Don't stop. Don't hesitate. You can't be scared of what's next. Do not let fear get in your way" - Meredith Grey

"Your time as a caterpillar has expired your wings are ready" - Unknown
"You're gonna miss this, you're gonna want this back, you're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast" - Trace Atkins

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
