Hey Everyone! I am excited for you readers to read what I have to say about these amazing topics. If you don’t know me my name is Arielys, I’m 22 years old, who recently graduated college and is now trying to find the meaning of life. College is over; what do I do with myself now. I’m going to answer some questions that you might have about myself and what my blogs are going to be about.

What made you want to blog?

I honestly just wanted a new way to cope with different things that are going on in my life. I usto draw and paint but I wanted to do something that not only helped me with what I was dealing with but something that can also help others in some kind of way.

What kind of topics are you going to post?

I decided I am going to be posting about things that people usually don't feel comfortable talking about, makes you think and look at it in a different perspective. Such as mental illnesses, rape/sexual assaults, friendships, and so much more.

If you could give your 13 year self advise what would it be?

Giirrrlll, don’t worry you are going to glow up. Take everything you are going through and learn from it. And please just love yourself and not care about what anyone thinks, because at the end of the day it’s your life, you can’t live behind a shadow of what everyone else wants/expects you to do in YOUR LIFE. You’ll be okay just make sure to grow and if you need to cut off people from your life do it with no hesitation it will show in the long run why they did not belong there.

What’s your zodiac sign and do you believe in them?

Taurus All Day! I literally swear on zodiac signs sometimes it becomes excessive. Like if I start to have a lot of things in common with you I’ll stop and be like, “Wait whens your birthday?” it’s literally my go to question for anything HAHA. Like if my friends come to me saying they like a boy the first question is his birthday and from there I know if they’ll work or not and what their pros and cons are as a couple. Crazy right, but it’s so true most of time well ALL THE TIME in my cases.

What is your dream job?

I want to be a Recruiter for a College. I feel that College are the years that one grows the most and learns who they truly are. As an hispanic female it was hard for me to afford college itself, so I would like to not only be able to help these types of students but any student that wants to change their past into something good. If I can help with re-directing a students future, that would be the best feeling to have everyday of my life knowing I helped for a change.

Do you have siblings? Are you close to them?

Yes I have a brother who is 18 years old, and a sister who is 17 years old. I am very close to them. My brother is the typical brother who is a sarcastic asshole, but we ask each other on our opinion on things. With my sister we are really close, tell each other pretty much everything and fight about the smallest things but what siblings don’t fight. A lot of people think we’re twins which is so funny to me since we’re 5 years apart.

What’s your favorite season?

My favorite season is hands down Spring. Not just because it’s my birthday in the spring, but the weather is not too hot and not too cold and you can wear pretty much anything.

What’s your Ethnicity?

I’m Puerto Rican, I grew up in MA but I was raised in the culture and speak spanish so I consider myself Puerto Rican instead of a “gringa” like most people would call someone who was raised in the US.

What’s your favorite holiday and why?

Umm not sure anymore I usto like Christmas but it lost its meaning with family coming together and celebrating Jesus’s Birthday. Now it’s just about getting the nicest and most expensive gift to show off on social media. So maybe it’s July 4th now since my family always goes to the beach and who doesn't like the beach.

What kind of person would you consider yourself?

If you know me you know that I will always tell you how it is even if you don't want to hear it but I will always have your back and try to understand where you are coming from in whatever you do and support you 110 percent; not one to hate on anyone's progress in life, I’m more of a hype man.

I hope you that answered any questions you might have about me if not feel free to comment with other questions and I hope you enjoy this new journey of post.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
