It may be my biased opinion, but I think women are pretty damn awesome. Like snowflakes, we are all different and unique. So is that why guys cannot seem to figure us out? Have no fear gentlemen! I am here to give y'all a little bit of insight into the female mind. I asked some of my guy friends to give me the questions they were dying to know about us ladies so I could attempt to help guys understand how we work a little better.
"What do you do when you go to the bathroom together?"
There are four possible answers to this question: (1) we are probably talking about you or some other drama that is occurring; (2) we are going to make sure we still look okay and want the reassurance of our squad; (3) we all actually had to pee, but were waiting for someone else to say they had to go; or (4) we are in there having a dance/rap battle.
"What else goes into the process of getting dressed that makes it take so long?"
Okay, so for guys -- getting dressed takes like, maybe five minutes. Y'all already know that you're gonna wear -- shorts or pants, underwear and some kind of shirt, depending on the occasion. Girls, on the other hand, have to consider so many more circumstances before even considering getting dressed. How much skin can I show? If I have to wear a dress, is cotton too casual? What kind of underwear/bra do I have to wear with said outfit? Is it a flat or heel type of event? Am I meeting anyone of importance tonight that I need to impress? The list goes on and on.
"Why the big t-shirts?"
Because they are so easy and you don't have to worry about the bra issues discussed above. Also, the big t-shirts are so much more comfortable because you don't feel trapped in a small tight-ass shirt.
"What are the pocket on girl jeans so small?"
Because, typically, our pants are super tight so there's no room for a lot of front pocket space or it would make the pants looks awkward. Also this is why girls have purses.
"Why do girls ask questions that they already know the answer to?"
I would like to hope that girls don't really do this that often, but I know that I am probably wrong. My best answer is that we're hoping y'all will be honest about it and show us that you are truthful, or if you lie then were gonna jump all over you and it won't be pretty.
"Why is the waist so high on your jean shorts?"
It hides any area on your tummy or lower back that you don't like. It's more comfortable than having on low-rise shorts and you don't have to worry about pulling them up all night. And fashion?
"Who thought UGG boots were actually cute?"
I hope no one actually thinks that UGG boots are cute. But they are comfy and if its cold outside they keep your toes warm.
"Why yoga pants? Do you not feel uncomfortable in public?"
Yoga pants are stupid comfortable. Let's get that one straight, right now. I'd bet you money that almost 90 percent of girls on this campus own a pair of yoga pants or leggings, so I'm gonna say that we don't feel uncomfortable. Hell, I'd say that when wearing them we're all extremely comfortable. Because that's why we wear them.
"When y'all are really angry about something and won't tell us what's wrong, what the hell do you want us to?"
If a girl does this to you, she just wants to see how much you care. She wants to see how hard you're gonna try to figure it out. Yes, I know that this is dramatic and wastes time that you could have spent solving the problem, but we aren't perfect. We're all a little crazy on the inside, and we just wanna know that you care about us. So, honestly, you just have to be patient and tell her something like, “okay, I love you and whenever you wanna talk about it I'm here"
"How do females actually feel about beards vs. freshly shaven?"
This is a matter of opinion. If you're gonna shave, please keep it updated because at a certain point, stubble really hurts when you're making out. And if you're gonna go beard, please condition it and try not to look like a hobo (unless your woman is into that).
"Why the hell do y'all wear heels if they hurt your feet? You'd still look good in flats."
Elementary, my Dear Watson! It's because they make our butts and legs look great. So we kinda do it for you.
“Why can't girls even?"
Because we're all odd.
“As a female, would you say you are more cautious when going out than if you were a male. For example: You drink less? Go home sooner? Paranoid about randoms? Careful about what you say? I know girls that would say yes to all, and some that would say no! Can you explain?"
I like to think that having a posse with you at all times throughout the night can help with all of these things. It's sad to say that we live in a world where sexual assault and rape exist, so we all need to have each other's backs. I think you can have a great time and go out and drink as long as you have a group with you to watch your back and your drinks and to make sure you get home safely. I believe, that as females, we need to all watch out for each other.
And lastly, the most important question I received.
"Would you rather fight a horse-sized duck or 10 duck-sized horses"
I'm totally taking the 10 duck-sized horses.
