I know it can be tempting to buy the chic pair of stilettos that you have been eyeing for a while or splurge on that coveted designer handbag, but are these items really necessary during this time of isolation?

You need to think about when you might actually use the potential purchase, because if it is not a time in the foreseeable future, it is most likely not vital. Below is a list of 7 things that are worth your money to invest in during this quarantine, as they can be put to use right away and will be the most effective while you're stuck at home.

An adorable tracksuit from your favorite store

I know, I know. Tracksuits? What is this, the 2000s? But the truth is, matching tracksuits are coming back into style, so why not embrace it now and look cute while you romp around your house. Bonus: they're super comfortable.

High-quality skincare products

I don't know about you, but I haven't put an ounce of makeup on my face since I've been in quarantine. If you're like me, the money that you are no longer spending on replacing your makeup can now be used towards buying those all natural, higher-quality products that you might have skimped out on before.

Taking good care of your skin is extremely important, and it's never too late to start doing so.

An inspiring cookbook

Now is as good of a time as any to finally learn how to cook more than a cup o'noodles. Surfing the web for recipes can be overwhelming and tiresome, so having a cookbook on hand will make it easier to find something to make more efficiently.

A couple of good books

I realize no one likes being told to "read more". But, don't underestimate the power of a good book: there's nothing better than passing the time with a gripping thriller or poetic love story.

Cute room decor

If you're going to be spending all your time in your bedroom, it might as well look cute, right? Use this time to redecorate or spruce up your room, and make it how you truly want it.

A good pair of sneakers

It's important to take care of your health by exercising regularly during this quarantine. To do so successfully, I would recommend investing in a pair of well-made sneakers that will support you in all of your athletic endeavors. Also, who ever said sneakers can't be cute?

Lots and lots of candles

It might seem like an obvious purchase, but a fragrant, flickering candle can completely change your mood. Warning: it's easy to burn through them quickly, so make sure you have plenty on hand to restock!

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
