Graduation Caps

So you've registered for your fall semester of your final year of college? While this is an exciting and riveting time for many rising seniors about to embark on their last year of an impactful segment of their life, we must remember to stay the course. Listed below are 10 ways to stay in the game and make it to graduation. Here are the 10 ways to put that early senioritis to sleep.

1. Go to Class

At the end it may get hard to find the motivation to attend classes. However, the skills you learn and the discussions you have in the classroom setting are priceless. Take advantage of your education and give 111% in all of your senior years classes, besides for some of us the will be our last.

2. Eat regularly

Many seniors no longer have meal plans once they reach their capstone year. ensure you are taking time out of your busy schedule to feed yourself, and no living off Wendy's 4 for $4 and chugging tequila is not a balanced diet!

3. Sleep

With senior research, partying, traveling, working, applying to grad school, and looking for jobs, it can become difficult to remember to sleep. However, sleep is the most important element to succeeding in your senior year. Make a schedule this way you can prioritize your life while ensuring there is an adequate amount of time to catch some zzz's.

4. Stop binge drinking

While everyone is happy they are finally 21, remember to leave room for tomorrow. You only get two livers so take care of them. Many seniors become dysfunctional senior year because they are too hungover to get work done as a result of binge drinking the night before.

5. Do all of your assignments

Let's be honest, we get lazy senior year! Make sure you are paying attention to your syllabus and getting those assignments turned in. Besides, you've made it too far not to graduate now!

6. Complete readings

"Readings smeadings" as the saying goes senior year! Although you feel that you are done and you've learned everything there is to know, you haven't. Get those readings done, participate in class, and leave your impact on your campus!

8. Pay your dues

I've seen too many seniors wait until the last minute to order chords, send out graduation invitations, book after graduation trips etc. Pay your dues you only graduate undergraduate once, so do it right. Save over the summer to ensure everything you want to accomplish is within you budget and can be obtained.

9. Job hunt/ Grad school

You don't want to be that college graduate working at McDonald's after graduation or bumming around your parent's house twiddling your fingers. Make sure you are taking the necessary precautions to prepare solid grad school applications and looking for jobs. There's no better feeling than having a place to go after you walk across the stage!

10. Enjoy the ride

Some senior stress way too much. It's your last year so carpe diem!

The senior journey can be beyond stressful, you're about to be an adult for goodness sake. But don't fret with this formula your obligated to succeed and become that important person your parents have always bragged that you are!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
