On understanding the most powerful being.

Do you ever look up at the night sky and stare at the moon and the stars, and wonder what's beyond there? Some of you might just think its more galaxies, other planets, and even aliens. Well, you aren't wrong, except for maybe the aliens part. But have you ever thought about what lies beyond all those other galaxies, how those galaxies got there, or even if someone or something put those galaxies in their exact places? According to universetoday, 1.3 million Earth's can fit in the Sun. We think Earth is big but in comparison to the rest of the planets and moons and Suns it's very small. Even our Sun is one of the smaller things in the Solar System. So you may be asking why I'm giving a middle school science lesson, but it has nothing to do with the stars or the moon or the Sun, it has to do with the One who put them there and how He compares to everything else.

Just think, the Earth that we live on was placed so perfectly that the Sun doesn't burn it up from being too close, yet we don't freeze from being too far away either. If God has moved us a foot closer from the Sun we might be living on a barren desert of a planet. Likewise, if He had placed us a foot further away we might be frozen. Sure some of us complain about the cold winters and having to scrape the ice off our windshield or shovel the snow from our pathways, but trust me our placement is perfect. This perfect placement isn't just something to happen by chance. A Big Bang didn't explode and place us that perfectly from the Sun or create oxygen for us to breathe to help sustain life on this Earth. Something much more powerful, more knowledgeable and more loving had to shape and form this world into what it is.

I'm going to be honest, I can't put God into perspective. I can only put small parts of what he does for us and things I've observed into perspective. And for those of you that have no belief in God but would rather believe in science, I'm sorry. I'm sorry you're blind to the certain areas of beauty around you. I'm sorry you would rather trust in your data charts and computer screens than in the Creator. And I'm sorry you haven't yet to notice how much love He has for you. Something science doesn't have a number for is infinity, which is also eternity. That is because eternity is forever and we can't grasp how long it actually is. It is unfathomable. By choosing to serve the God that is so gracious and caring you will be granted your own pass into eternity and the golden streets of Heaven. I don't want to try to put God into perspective, but I want to make it more apparent, that eternity is never ending , and if you have to spend that never ending period somewhere why not choose to serve someone that is so powerful while we are here on Earth and receive the final reward when it is all said and done.

A lot of you reading this have sons and brothers. If someone came into your home and tried to take your son or brother away from you what would your first reaction be? Most of you would do everything in your power to fight to keep your son from being taken. God didn't do this. He sent his one and only son to this Earth to spread the good news, and then paid the ultimate price for us. God loves us so much that He would give his Son up, so that as humans we can sin as much as we do, but because of what he did for us we can still be forgiven. As humans, we do a lot of awful things. We steal, lie, cheat, murder and many other terrible things. But by the grace of God we can be forgiven for all of those things we do.

If you can see how powerful and caring God is then why wouldn't you want to choose to live a life for Him? If someone so powerful and loving as Him is for you, the who can possibly stand against you? Those of us that are Christians know how great of a God we serve, but I hope those of you that don't know how great he is can see how much he's done for you and can also see his power, grace and love He really does have for you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
