If you're an avid music listener, perhaps you've ventured into the genre of punk rock before.

Nowadays, the term "punk rock" is loosely used to describe rock, alternative, pop punk, emo punk and more. You've probably heard of the "big" punk rock bands – Fallout Boy, Twenty One Pilots, Panic! At The Disco, Green Day, etc. These bands are creators of the classic jams that we just couldn't do without. But why stop there? There are so many talented punk rock artists that often don't get as much appreciation as they deserve.

Here's a list of underrated punk rock artists that you should give a listen:

1. Cute Is What We Aim For

Over 10 years ago, this boy band charmed the emo-punk scene with their hit single, "The Curse of Curves." Their music is packed with emotion and passion, all while keeping things mellow. Celebrating their ten-year anniversary of "The Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch," Cute Is What We Aim For begins touring the United States this fall.

Songs to check out: "The Curse of Curves," "Navigate Me," "Time"

2. Set It Off

Two words that come to mind when describing this band are "intense" and "uncensored." Set It Off does not hold back when relating sentiments in their songs – they keep it real. Their popular songs "N.M.E." and "Wolf In Sheep's Clothing" warn about toxic relationships and people, expressing the thoughts we're all thinking but too afraid to say.

Songs to check out: "The Haunting," "Duality," "N.M.E.," "Wolf In Sheep's Clothing"

3. One OK Rock

This Japanese band came out with a new album "35xxxv" just last year, and they even toured on Warped Tour in 2014. Their music puts a spin on traditional rock music with catchy melodies and powerful lyrics.

Songs to check out: "Memories," "Last Dance," "Mighty Long Fall"

4. A Day To Remember

A Day To Remember is about to go on tour with their unique vocals and instrumentals. Their songs have a large variety, ranging from mellow jams to hardcore rock. Nevertheless, fans will agree that ADTR has a very distinct sound.

Songs to check out: "If It Means A Lot To You," "All I Want," "This Is The House That Doubt Built"

5. Sleeping With Sirens

Kellin Quinn.Need I say more? But seriously, Kellin Quinn's vocals are the star of the show. Sleeping with Sirens creates music that ranges from borderline screamo to extremely mellow. Despite having a wide variety of music style, Sleeping with Sirens manages to add a special zing of something that makes their music recognizable and keeps fans waiting.

Songs to check out: "Madness," "Scene Five- With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear," "Left Alone," "Do It Now Remember It Later"

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
