In this treacherously busy yet relaxing yet stressful and BORING summer, we Staters have one weekend to break up the three-month routine of working and struggling to set plans with our friends to escape out to the beautiful State College, PA. It's been rumored that people that aren't school-deprived students actually travel from all around to see the music and art that's displayed.

From the day we leave school in May, we start telling our friends we'll see them again at Arts Fest. And now that time is finally here! Carpools are being organized and sleeping arrangments are getting set.

I hope the Valley is ready for us because this weekend we are coming in full force!

1. For the most obvious reason: We can finally see our friends again.

There's no bond like a bond with our school friends and it's been such a long summer without them.

2. You have no responsibilities.

Yeah, there's no need to worry about your job at home but ALSO no excuse to drink a little less because you need to study for an upcoming exam. The only thing needed to think about is what time isn't too early to start drinking.

3. Pokies are close.

No need to fantasize about the cheese bread and ranch sauce anymore because you can just walk to Pugh Street and get yourself a small. (Which is really convenient if the apartment party you're at is in Nick Towers).

4. We are able to frolick around fratland once more.

And the campus too... if you get lost or want to take a picture in front of Old Main.

5. It's basically one giant sleepover.

There's no chance you'll get any sleep but you'll wake up in a room with all your friends collapsed on the floor and couches, and what's better than that?

6. You're able to show off your tan and newfound hotter looks.

We all know we look better tan, and we don't get that opportunity for too long during the year so this is your time to flaunt it.

7. Anticipate all of the handles of Crown Russe and Vlad.

The sight may make your stomach turn but Penn State wouldn't be home without it.

8. It will be the most fun we've had all summer.

If every weekend at Penn State is the best weekend of your life, you can count on this being no different.

9. Every activity is so spontaneous.

Go in with the idea that you are going to say yes to every invitation you get and you and your friends will end up going to the most random places but you'll meet the coolest new people.

10. It's nice out.

Forget the need for frackets and break out the summer-y, cute daylong clothes you only had a week or two to wear during the school year because it's time to bring them out.

11. You can have drunk Chipotle.

It doesn't matter if there's a Chipotle near your house because it's just not as good. Burrito bowls taste so much better when you wait for two hours in that ridiculous line.

12. You're able to ruin your life.

Those embarrassing texts you find the next morning are just proof you had a fun night.

13. McLanahan's breakfast sandwiches in the a.m.

I dream about the Mooney on a plain bagel more than I'm willing to admit.

14. The art is beautiful.

Well, that's the rumor we've all been told. How many people can really say that... honestly?

15. Everyone comes together.

It doesn't matter if they aren't in your srat or THON org, a person's a person and we want to party with them all!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
