Last winter I finally caved and watched the CW series, "Gossip Girl." I often mocked the girls who constantly posted and talked about the latest turn in the series when it was on the air. As soon as I started the series, I became one of those annoying girls. Along with many others, my favorite storyline by far was Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf’s love story. They were like an Upper East Side Romeo and Juliet. Throughout the series, I found that at the end of every episode I either loved Chuck Bass or hated him for what he did. I went through most of the series and picked up the pros and cons of Chuck Bass.

Pro: His undying love for Blair Waldorf.

Chuck was always there when Blair needed him. He fixed the prom queen ballet just to see her happy even though he wasn’t her date. He paid photographers to take photos of her just so she would feel important. Time and time again he never gave up on Blair and tried to win her back. He knew that he would always love her and that nothing would ever change that.

Con: His womanizing tendencies.
Yet with all of the love Chuck had for Blair, he stayed a womanizer for the majority of the series. In the second season, when he was trying to get over her, he slept with a different woman every night. He had multiple prostitutes on call and wasn’t the most decent man in the beginning of the series. He broke fans' hearts when he slept with Jenny Humphrey and ruined his chance to be with Blair.

Pro: His Persistence.
We loved how Chuck Bass fought for what he believed in no matter what. Throughout Blair’s other relationships, he constantly believed that they would end up together. He was also persistent to make his hotel the best that it could be. He was crushed when his father sabotaged him in the end but quickly got back on his feet and got the hotel back.

Con: His Stubbornness.

One of the most memorable scenes from "Gossip Girl" was “3 words, 8 letters, and I’m all yours.” Chuck refused to admit that he loved Blair which cost him happiness throughout the show. He constantly thought he was right and it took him longer than most people to realize that he was wrong.

Pro: He always told Blair how he felt.
Although he constantly upset Blair and made mistakes throughout the series, he was always able to confide in Blair. Whenever we thought Blair was finally done with him, he would come up with some big romantic gesture and a series of apologies.

Con: When he ran away from his problems.
Hitting rock bottom for Chuck Bass was his summer in Europe when he was shot. Instead of facing his fears, he ran away and created a new identity. He was ready to leave everything and all his loved ones behind just because Blair didn’t want to be with him.

Con: When he almost hit Blair after she told him she was engaged.
After a long night of drinking, Blair went to Chuck’s apartment to tell him that she was marrying Louis. He smashed through glass trying to hit Blair and cut Blair on the cheek in the process. This really was an accumulation of all of Chuck’s bad habits that needed to be attended to.

Pro: When he was willing to love Blair’s child like it was his own.
The best moment of the series, in my opinion, was when Chuck realized that Lilly loved Chuck as if he was one of her own. This led to his epiphany that he could love Blair and her child. Chuck really matured after and found that he loved Blair unconditionally.

Overall, Chuck loved Blair and made us all dream that we wanted Chuck Bass as our boyfriend. In the end, he cared and loved Blair more than anything else in the world.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
